ITT: Yas Forums's lowest/most embarrassing moments

Starting with one of the biggest.

Child's play in comparison to when Spinelfaggotry shit up the board.

No, the biggest was spawning Bronies.

Didn't Yas Forums end up killing a man over low quality Korra leaks?

what

I am sort of still into lost media (but actually lost media, not the "it was on nick and cweepy it's major") and was when this was happening despite not coming to Yas Forums at the time but why the fuck were people obsessed with finding this shit? Like it's absolutely fucking worthless and not even official, at least Clock Man produced a shit ton of Pinwheel backlogs

wasn’t there a confirmation that didn’t exist?

From what I can tell, it started as mild curiosity. Then people got so wrapped up in "the hunt" that they began ignoring obvious signs that it didn't exist. If the guy behind the company wasn't finally contacted, we'd probably still have spergs insisting there's still a DVD of it out there.

Oh shit, I remember that

The personal best was when people were convinced they need to find that "super duper lost and scary" Cry Baby Lane when it was available on youtube almost the entire time the "search" was ongoing
The funny thing is I consider finding non-children's "creepy" media stuff interesting, but the children's "creepy" media hunts are the most embarrassing thing I've seen

I need info on this

That's how I discovered Yas Forums.

What happened? Can someone provide a brief summary?

Dummies found this fake coverart and then started a cross website search to track the movie down

There was a "company" who shat out quick buck DVDs on Amazon (mostly "documentaries" that look like they were done in Windows movie maker). A Day With Spongebob was listed on Amazon by the company at one point, but they never actually made it. Someone noticed it and decided to throw up an article on the Lost Media Wiki, where the weird title and cover art drew a lot of attention (especially after shit like Crybaby Lane drew a lot of new people to the "community"). Through sheer coincidence, a library made a paperwork mistake and listed the DVD as previously being in their inventory, which just fueled the idea that it existed in some form.

So people made a big deal out of hunting it down and discovered the guy running the obviously shady company was shady and ran a bunch of similar quick buck businesses. All sorts of conspiracy theories stemmed from it, but went nowhere. Finally someone managed to contact the guy and he confirmed it never got made. Then everyone realized they wasted months on that nonsense.

Two other unimportant and stupid details:
1. There was a barcode/UPC for the DVD in Target's system for whatever reason
2. The production company had an address listed in some old strip mall, I think in California. Anons went there and found it was empty and smelled like piss. This was taken as evidence of spooky foul play, rather than this being a glorified scam operation.

Explain please

Maybe the real "A Day with Spongebob" were the friends we made along the way.

A Half-year with Autists

This

>People wasting time looking for something that might no exist
>When there's things that only aired once outside of America lost forever

That is autism for you.

Fun Fact the alleged theme for a day with Spongbob was the bass clarinet part for Polar Express, I can't exactly prove it because I'm not a bass but one of my friends was.

And it's a leak of season 2 no less.

Has anyone ever tried to contact the kid from that image?

Dwayne McDuffie lost his job because of Yas Forums and Rich Johnston

It's always animefags (aka who likes Avatar)
They got what they deserved, further proof Avatar was never good

Explain how

In my defense, Futa Katara was kind of funny.
And this is why we're not getting a book three.
Bitches be trippin', mane.

Y'all had to be taught a lesson, son.

You forget the part where people started accusing the shady owner of the company of human trafficking and running a prostitution ring.
