People memed about it being a boring slice of life show where nothing happens until others started believing it.
Some people were majorly butthurt at Craig using his mom's purse in the pilot.
Also people incorrectly compared it to Clarence when really the closest show in comparison is Recess. Even if we're just sticking to CN shows, Codename: Kids Next Door is still closer to Craig of the Creek than Clarence is. So I dunno, maybe a lot of the weird CotC haters are people who hated Clarence and since they were told CotC was like Clarence they decided they hated CotC too.

It just struck me as kind of bland from the promos I’ve seen. The posts and ads never made it seem like a snappy comedy like recess or fun adventure show like KND. The weird flat thinlined beanmouth style doesn’t do it any favors as well.
That being said, I’ve watched a few eps and it’s decent.

The initial threads where basically flooded by shitposters because mc black and muh race mixing among other things, and the same happened with the pilot thread so the shitposting evolved over time from said pilot thread and devolved into substanceless thing I don't like tier mewling, granted every once and a while people do level some genuine criticism, but most of the time it's just easily repeatable shitposting phrases that anyone who never even the watched the show could say about any cartoon.
