Are there any cartoons out right now that give the same feel as Gravity Falls? Like you sense there's gonna be some fascinating sutff happening in the series later? An interesting plot? I've been so busy with school shit lately. I miss that feeling.

DuckTales? Amphibia? The Owl House?

Primal but it's 1000000000000000% better then GF could ever be
Many of the so-called GF clones are mostly disappointing honestly

Mystery Incorporated.

I have no interest in Ducktales, honestly. But Amphibia and Owl House seem like that kinda show? I'm writing this down, thank you

I'm not sure about The Owl House since the whole Season 1 hasn't been release yet, but Amphibia does have an underlying plot albeit not as "mystery-solving"

Have you seen Over The Garden Wall yet? It doesn't have the level of 'solve it yourself mystery that Gravity Falls has, but the atmosphere is very mysterious and absolutely amazing. Plus, great characters, art, and writing. Its the only cartoon I enjoyed as much as Gravity Falls.

That's okay. I've just been dying to experience a show like Gravity Falls again, where there's like a collective "holy shit" to it online. It's so nostalgic for me. I know I'll never feel that great again, but it'd be neat to find something similar.
I have seen it, and it was awesome. I watch OTGW with my family every October since it's aired.

Do you also want them not to hold up, or get worse with time, or what?

Okay, listen to me, dude. Gravity Falls was pretty decent. SVTFOE was disappointing to me but not terrible. But, like, I'm just looking for shows like them where you get fucking engaged with the plots

How about Legend of the Three Caballeros? Might be a duck show you'd like better.
Or maybe Wander if you haven't seen that, get surprisingly in depth at the end

Some of the new Disney stuff has a similar feel. Otherwise no, no big lore shows at the moment

Lol that guy looks like a muppet, how can you fags take this shit seriously?

Leave underage

Is Mao Mao worth getting into?

Genuine interest in this show

Fucking this

Unironically, no.

There's some shows that hint towards something bigger but I've been burned so many times that it's hard to maintain a hype erection.

>Ripping off lost the cartoon

Venture Bros is always a must.It might not exactly be what you're asking for, but it was one of the first and best cartoons to do the whole "show starts out goofy and self contained but then adopts deep lore and overaching plot" thing

Amphibia isn't as heavily focused on mystery, but it does have an interesting story arc and similar comedic timing to Gravity Falls, i.e. it feels like an old school sitcom with jokes, and more importantly it has pauses to let you absorb them. This show has come closest to giving me the feeling of watching Gravity Falls, and it's good on its own merits.
Big City Greens also has similar comedic timing, but it's pure sitcom. It also doesn't become good until further into the season. You have to work at it, but it's worth giving this a chance.
Owl House tries hardest to imitate Gravity Falls, and also fails at it thoroughly due to the poor writing. But it does try to hit all those notes.

Thanks! Thanks to everyone in the thread. Like I said, just trying to capture a semblance of that sort of feeling again. I’ll definitely be checking out Amphibian and The Owl House.

Seen it all. I love VB.

>not taking the duckpill

I watched the first few episodes and Huey, Dewey and Louie did not capture my interest as MCs. I like Scrooge but not enough to put up with a show centered around those three AND him.

Yes.

If you haven't watched it yet, OK KO is pretty fun and does have some interesting continuity regarding the main character and his villains. Almost done with it and I've had a blast going through it.

It occurs random, depending on the main subject of each episodes

It is incredibly worth the first few episodes.
Like Cerebus it only gets really good once they get their footing

Someone already said it, but I'm recommending them, anyway:
>Amphibia
>Ducktales17
>The Owl House
In that order.

As for now gone shows that I also recommend giving a fair shake...
>Tangled: TAS / Rapunzel Tangled Adventure
>Legend of the 3 Caballeros
>Legend Quest (specifically Season 1 only)
>Welcome to the Wayne (...and fuck the haters.)

Only watch this if you want a reminder of how NOT to do it:
>Victor and Valentino

YES. Definitely!

Agreed. Despite how it looks, OK KO was a lot more to sit down to for me than Gay Space Rocks, IMHO.

MaoMao is basically the same story as something I found better than SU. To me, it's OK KO with better movement and more refined (but still simple) artstyle. I won't say the characters are better than what OK KO showed me, in comparison, but they are likable and hilarious, which is more than enough reason to recommend it for me.
