she's sad :(
It's dead, the moment the author start making long ass speeches about how the comic fucked their life you know there is no way it will reach the end, just like Poppy Opossum.
Last I heard she posted wips on patreon last year
I'm training my edit skills by drawing dumb ass porn of it during the wait.
respectable
>the moment the author start making long ass speeches about how the comic fucked their life you know there is no way it will reach the end
When did she do that?
where do you hear this shit? im always behind on news
Link?
check for ava_ire on pixiv. But I'm mostly a meme/shit artist. I'm just using the lockdown to focus on ava artstyle.
>mc randomly falls into a ravine and dies
What a bold way to end a webcomic
Brava
I’m doubtful this will ever finish. The animatic style of the comic means the pacing is even slower than most comics so it takes more time and panels to conclude the story. Barely any thing has happened in years. She has a terrible fanbase. The author suffers from depression. I predict that as soon as she has kids the additional stress of caring for a child will kill her motivation completely. She has a partner so it isn’t like she lacks anyone to lean on.
Ava did what we all wanted Antimony to do. that's respectable.
yes and no, iirc the plot isn't supposed to be super complex, it just takes a lot of time to talk and show the actions with that panel to panel model.
I wish she would just tell us how its supposed to all end. """Depression""" is such a shit excuse Im suprised everyone who supports her on Patreon hasn't quit yet, surely they know its all bullshit?
ARRRRRRRGGH!!!!!!
>"""Depression""" is such a shit excuse
why? It's not like this is sudden. You knew about it from the start.
The panel to panel format doesn’t need to be so slow. Hell thats basically what tons of webtoons are. The problem is that it is modeled after animatics instead of comics. An illustration+script format like Homestuck used to have could be more efficient. She could reuse backgrounds more or break her figures down into something similar to puppet rigs. She could simplify the artwork. She could use more narration. Her current format just isn’t very efficient. If it were animated I’d bet you would only have enough content for a two hour film so the current pacing is incredibly slow.
baaawww I miss the porn
Depression isn’t a shit excuse if it’s true. I think she’s lost enthusiasm for the comic. If her financial future seems secure she might just seek to eke our as much Patreon money as she can for as long as she can. It’s been ongoing for 8 years now I think she might just be creatively burnt out on this.
>Hell thats basically what tons of webtoons are. The problem is that it is modeled after animatics instead of comics
Dude your mind seems to be confused and oyu want to say two opposite things at once there.
ah, the good old reddit expertise on people based on the poster's feelings
Why the fuck is every single damn webcomic so damn long?
Protip faggots don't make your fucking first webcomic longer than a regular comic run from the big 2. If you want to explore this worldbuilding more you can always make a sequel or another story in the same universe later.
because when you have a short story to tell, you publish a small book and sell it in conventions
Everyone starts off thinking their first work will be their magnum opus and people get angry when they are advised to start off with smaller stories. It’s come up on /ic/ a lot. People want to get to that story they’ve been cooking up since high school. People are advised not to do that so they can experiment with workflow and story telling techniques so they can approach their high school magnum opus with a more mature understanding of how to effectively produce it. People get angry hearing this idk why.
>because when you have a short story to tell, you publish a small book and sell it in conventions
What? No one will read a random small book in a convention unless you are already famous, internet is the present, boomer. The best scenario is you managing to sell 30 books and every single copy being lost after 20 years.
>boomer
That's really where you go now? After question-posting like a dumbass that literally admit to know nothing on the matter, you get answer and because it didn't suit you, it's time to bark the latest twitter meme like a good trained dog. Jesus christ.
A short story works just fine in digital format. Having a small library or complete projects is a good look. You can experiment with different styles and stories and build up a reputation.
>I'll just update my co-AAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!
Seriously, is this shit dead?
