Did it deserve to be cancelled, Yas Forums? I thought it was pretty good despite it's flaws
I would have watched it even if it were bad. Not that it matters if I did watch it or not though, since I would however never have bought the toys and other associated merchandise that is required to keep the show afloat.
And I most likely wouldn't have spread knowledge about this show's existence to make me a worthwhile target audience member who is supposed to meme-spread it to other people.
Having listened to the interview where they laid out all their plans... yes, it deserved to be canceled. Every bad decision was doubled down on, the best parts were going to be quietly shoved to the side, and the overall story sounded grimdark and stupid as fuck.
Pity, the pilot was really quite good.
>Did it deserve to be cancelled, Yas Forums?
Yes. After the pilot the writing takes a strong dive.
>I thought it was pretty good despite it's flaws
No one cares.
at least it looked good
The only good part was the pilot. For whatever reason the showrunners were obsessed with shitting on Lion-o, and sucking off Tygra at every turn like there was legitimate contempt for the main character.
Nonsense Wilykit was best possible love interest for Lion-o.
Kind of? It had very glaring flaws that I can't blame others for not ignoring. I enjoyed it though people are right that the pilot was the best episode and the show itself really failed to follow through. I seem to remember Friedle seemed passionate about it so I felt badly for him.
Were the ratings bad or was the show another victim of poor toy sales? I legit can't remember.
Bad toy sales (which I think actually was in part because of a huge delay in the toy line but it has been a bit) and inconsistent airing schedule was what I recalled lead to its downfall.
And now, ThunderCats Roar is focused on shitting on Tygra at every opportunity.
I'm thinking they were given too much power, couldn't stop fapping to Tigra, and couldn't be reigned in, so the crew aborted.
Ins't he the only non retarded character now? He's like squidward and everyone else is spongebob or patrick
I was here when this shit aired, all you guys did was complain about it and call lion-o a cuck
Yeah. But it's quite clear that he's the butt monkey for the staff, and it's most likely tied to how Tygra was the writer's favorite in the ThunderCats 2011 show as a form of revenge.
Fag
Apparently it did well in ratings and was only cancelled because CN was getting cheap with their cartoons at that time.
Legends of Chima-ra was easier to make and lego was paying to use the same plot basically.
>Did it deserve to be cancelled
It did, but I also enjoyed it and I wish Netflix would pick it up and remake it in a Castlevania style.
>and the overall story sounded grimdark and stupid as fuck.
Wow, you're so wrong.
It wasn't very good
The blame falls entirely on the Network here, because it actually got good rating and views despite it being on TV and not streaming.
It was dogshit
These two. It was doing fine ratings wise but action figure sales were going down across the board and a new action cartoon was hard to justify without merch sales.
Mumm-ra had weird lips. Would not bang/10
>pedophile fanbase
Not wrong.
Pussy.
I couldn't enjoy it that much itself. The writing was unbelievably sloppy. Character motivations and other things in the narrative never stayed consistent. The plots were really repetitive, and wasted valuable time.
Yet I don't think it deserved cancellation. Clearly, there was a lot of people that enjoyed it and it genuinely got fucked over in the middle of production. Even if I didn't think much of it, it's still better than a lot of the swill CN shilled.

"So we're bringing back one of the original Thundercats - the ones added later - but he's going to be basically a war criminal. He destroyed lizardmen eggs, basically quivalent to slaughtering their kids, and said he was just following orders. Also it turns out there's nothing more to the Pumyra shit, no additional twist. She's just pure evil and retarded as fuck, siding with the evil guy that killed her because she's angry at the good guys for not being there. Tigra kills her because there's not enough bad blood between him and Lion-o already. And we're thinking that Wilykat needs to run away and become a moody emo bandit that doesn't have fun with his sister any more. It'll be schway!"
Their plans sounded about as fun as a root canal.
The show did have some pretty big story and character issues, but no it didn't.

Is it bad if I didn't mind that? It was consistent with the cat empire being a bunch of dicks and Lion-O having to avoid the mistakes his dad and his former kingdom made. Also, that not every villain in the series is cartoonishly evil.
The Pumyra bullshit sounded awful, though.
