And that price will be a significant amount of billions more then they bought it for plus giving rights to Disney to use the characters at the parks all they want so they don't have to stop all the expansion they did based on it

Also Disney's former CEO wrote a memoir that made it pretty clear Lucas didn't like how TFA turned out. Lucas wasn't even invited to the opening of The Rise of Skywalker. I doubt Lucas would want SW back at this point. His plans undoubtedly had Han and Leia as major characters. Harrison, Carrie and Mark all agreed to come back before learning that Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney. Carrie Fisher is obviously a no go and I doubt Ford would come back a third time in a decade.

Probably not, Star Wars and Marvel are two of their biggest cash earners, they'll need that revenue in the future. They sell off stuff that isn't a big earner to them but could be to a smaller company.

Disney really and truly did not NEED Fox. They were a behemoth without Fox. They didn't need to stretch their budgets to buy it. They got greedy. And if it winds up causing them pain it will have been no one's fault but their own.

They could buy back Lucas's stock. A huge portion of the money he made from selling his company was paid in Disney stocks, Lucas technically owns more of Disney than anyone else, buying that back would make them more powerful as their own company. It won't happen but I could see it kind of working in everyone's favor.

There are lots of reasons to hate Disney other than them shitting the bed with Star Wars.

The most valid reason to not like Disney related to Star Wars was telling theater chains "You must show the Last Jedi in your largest theater for 4 weeks, and we get 60% off every ticket earned, and if they break the contract, they get 70% of the profits".
