Cartoon Network had the audacity and nerve to make this fucking tweet so let's go through them.
>Steven Was good until CYM, in Future his character regresses and turns him into what Steven never should be. The conclusion to his downfall is handled poorly. >Garnet Didn't really have development, she's the same now as she was in Season 1 but with a lot more fusion talk. Wedding was for her components development. >Amethyst Yes her arc was done very well. One of the better arcs of SU. It's a shame she's done nothing much since Season 3 and her finding a kindred spirit in Jasper was dropped, though. Still good. >Pearl Another really good arc but some of it has been retreaded numerous times in the series. Nevertheless, she's one of the few characters that is given a large amount of screentime to tackle her issues and she is finally over Rose. >Connie Not really any development, she's kinda like Garnet where she didn't need to change herself due to issues that may surround other characters. The break-up arc was poor but she was there for Steven in crucial moments which is where her character shines. >Lapis Oh no. Her character regresses, her joining the Crystal Gems never made sense, her taking the barn didn't get addressed and her relationship with Jasper was a mess that didn't get resolved properly either. Bismuth poofing her wasn't brought up. She is simply there to be present in group shots and look cool and pretty but Lapis is arguably one of the worst, if not worst character.
>Peridot Good Season 2 redemption arc until Lapis came back into fray. The barn was a heaping mistake, her joining a "B-team" when she should have been on the main team was a mistake. She hasn't done much at all since Season 2 and 3 but still kudos to her episodes in Season 2. >Jasper Sigh. She had the worst ending out of all the characters, the series ends with her as a literal slave to Steven after he killed her, it's insane and stupid and feels overly harsh since she already was corrupted. As far as a character arc goes, she doesn't have one. She goes from a fusion slut who kills herself to cave Vegeta to Stevens bitch and thats it. >Lars He was better as an asshole bully. All of his arc happened off-screen and his crew are fucking boring and annoying. He's overrated and he doesn't even have any good episodes to his name unlike the poorly handled gems listed above. >Diamonds Yikes. People can write essays on how shit they were handled, you can find a million 4 hour long videos on YouTube about them so why bother. They were rushed, unbelievable and didn't have villain careers in the first place, it's like Sugar just fell in love with her broadway VAs and didn't want them to be villains like how Peridot and Jasper were in Season 1, or Aquamarine or whoever else. >Bismuth Good debut episode, fucking boring after being healed. She has no arc or development, she's just there to cheer everyone on...She was supposed to be a morally grey character like Jasper and Lapis but the Crew saw criticism on her episode and made her into a squeaky clean bore and erased all character flaws she had. They could've at least addressed her character properly in her final ep but made it into a shitty ship episode with Pearl. >Spinel Decent development in the movie she had, can't complain there. She was annoying as shit in Future but I'll pretend that didn't happen.
Jayden Rogers
K... keep me posted

>Dim mode

>UH Cartoon Network has the nerve to ask babies which character on their baby cartoon is their favorite how fucking dare they disrespect my adult lore cartoon like this!?
Kys OP
Matthew Perry
The average viewer age for SU is 22 also they shouldn't have mentioned development when the show fucked up so many characters
Ian Turner
Peridot > Pearl > Steven > Lars > Spinel > Connie > Garnet > Amethyst > Jasper > Bismuth > Lapis >The Diamonds
Anything below Spinel was either the bare minimum of effort or done really poorly. The Diamonds redemption was a fucking joke, Bismuth and Jasper were non-characters throughout most of the show and got rushed development when they came back.
Kevin Flores
Didnt they pretty much all just go from "I used to have problems but now I have less than I did before thanks to Steven?" Who really cares how much they can recycle the same shit?
Jayden Cook
>Peridot that high >Steven that high >Amethyst lower than Garnet
Jaxson Bailey
>They could've at least addressed her character properly in her final ep but made it into a shitty ship episode with Pearl. Not only is said episode a shitty ship baiting episode it also degrades what little character Bismuth had and just turns her into Pearl 2.0 for no good reason. Whoever wrote that shit needs to be beaten over the head with a lead pipe until they can't form a coherent sentence due to brain trauma and have their hands cut off.
Matthew Collins
>NOOOOOO THESE CHARACTERS DIDN"T MATURE IN THE WAY I THOUGHT THEY SHOULD HAVE MATURED IT"S WRONG WRONG WROOOOOOOOOONG!
Kayden Ortiz
Pearl, 100%. Steven's story was just an excuse to tell Rose's story and Rose's story was shit.
Poor Lapis got shafted hard in the development department.
Steven had the worst development. Too needy on fucking everyone. Glad he’s finally moving on from that shit.
Jason Jenkins
someone on that twitter thread actually said White, what the fuck?
Juan Jones
that's not why moron. Everyone wanted Lapis to join the crystal gems. The problem isn't that she ended up with them, is how she did. She developed off-screen and never had any meaningful moments with them. Same with Jasper. Everyone wanted her to start learning to improve herself, but nobody wanted her to be shattered, disposed of like a toy and went to LH off-screen.
Parker Stewart
It's easy to think the Diamonds had good development when you consume fan works, which do all the work the show itself should've done.
Ayden Fisher
Just because you share one friend doesn’t mean you gotta be friends with their other friends
Ian Brooks
What does any of that have to do with that post?
Michael Walker
Just because Lapis likes Steven and is close with him doesn’t mean she has to be close with the CGs
Jack Kelly
Lapis reasoning for being a CG is stupid. >If they'll punish me for being a CG, might as well be one! And yeah they never address her issues with various characters, would rather have seen her tackling the issues with Peridot and Jasper than her actual episode in Future
Elijah Phillips
But then don’t call yourself a crystal gem. She officially joins in CYM despite only having a friendship with Peridot and Steven, not with anyone else. It’s stupid.
Mason Martin
Where the fuck is Lion? He literally did nothing wrong.
Jason Ramirez
She doesn't interact with the main trio in the series at all, Peridot and Bismuth have believable friendships with them while it feels like Lapis never even talks to them off-screen nevermind on-screen
Brody Gonzalez
The Crystals Gems are an organization of rebels, they’re not all gonna be friends or even like each other
Ethan Price
honestly only lars, peridot, spinel, and bismuth and garnet would be a competition
Lucas Thompson
>Spinel Fuck no, go back to working on that shitty movie
Wyatt Lewis
Take Bismuth out
Noah Rogers
no
Jordan Sanders
Tell me what's so good about her, she doesn't even have any cool moments outside her debut
Chase Garcia
In some ways jasper was noting more than a plot device to push character development
Jayden Ramirez
chick who's in to metalworking
Ayden Turner
Except we have never seen any crystal gems that didn’t get along. They where all friends.
Jeremiah Hughes
And that becomes a side dish thanks to the bland meal that is Bismuth Casual.
Leo Roberts
>It's another retard who didn't understand Future at all but has the audacity to try and say it got shit wrong
