Valerie's Upgraded Suit

What do you think of Valerie's upgraded suit in Danny Phantom? How do you think summoning it works? Can it self-repair?

What?

I think it draws some power from the Ghost World ironically enough since Technus made it

I don't like seeing so much of her face, it looks awkward

Her original suit only showing her eyes was part of the appeal

I think that she can make it selectively opaque if she wants.

Do you think that it just comes into existence when she wants it to, or is there a device or something that she needs to use as a trigger for it?

Not a fan of see-through visors, to be honest.

Didn't we literally see her activate it from a watch at the episode's end?

always thought it was weird that ghosts could just randomly bestow superpowers to humans (and it seemed to be permanent in her case)

She just materializes it by will

It makes her look not thicc. Otherwise I wish it appeared more.

I always found weird how her entire body shape changed when she put on the suit.

Even when you see her with the mask off, her head looks tacked on to the body.

Maybe that's a deliberate feature, to help hide her identity?

Valerie was the worst character

I think this whole series and it's creator is garbage and that anyone who likes it is a twat

From a story standpoint I can get why the design doesn't make clear who the character is at first. But Valerie has such a different design that it really looks weird.

The suit completely reshapes her body. People make jokes about Female heroines breaking the spines, but that suit does major surgery in her.

I've seen the idea before that Paulina might've originally been planned to have the role, based on the body shape. No idea how that would work though.

Her ghostly idol breaking her heart and making her swear revenge, probably.

Personally, I would be for it. It would have given Paulina a little more of a character.

The whole situation would also be hot as fuck. Being more personal and all.

Wonder why they didn't go for it. Was it solely because they had to give Cree Summer an actual role since she was everywhere in the mid-00s (KND, Drawn Together, etc.)? Maybe they just didn't think Paulina was worth anything but a one-note joke?

Whatever. Butch always seems to know just how to piss actual good ideas away.

Maybe she decided to be more proactive in capturing his heart. Hence the thermos.

>You can come out of there when you love me, Ghostboy.

the chin seals this for me.

This makes too much sense.

Not while Sam exist.

>Paulina is saved once more from a ghost by Danny, and she tries to come on to him only to be brushed off. He's annoyed at how she can't seem to stay out of trouble.
>She then gets an idea: if she proves that she can be just as good at catching ghosts as Danny, he'll love her for sure.
>Using her daddy's credit card in secret, Paulina starts purchasing ghost-hunting equipment (from VladCo., of course) and tries using them to help Danny when ghosts show up. Her lack of training and her natural vanity causes more trouble and destruction than the ghosts do.
>After she screws up so badly that she costs Danny a chance to catch a particularly-dangerous ghost, he comes up to her and tells her right in her face to stop trying to help because he's just not interested.
>Unable to take this rejection, Paulina turns her weapons against Danny and screams that if she can't win his heart, she'll blast it out of his chest instead. She proves dangerously competent now that she's focused on an actual goal, and Danny only barely manages to escape.
>Her dad later finds out about her purchases and cuts her off from her allowance, but Vlad, sensing an opportunity, continues to ship Paulina more gear. Her newfound hate for Danny means a new secret ally for Vlad.

>Not while Sam exist.
I like Sam.

That was a sweet costume design.

It's a shame. Valerie was a good character, but a fleshed out Paulina could've been even better.

Did she even actually do anything? I remember watching her introduction episode and then the bit with her suit getting upgraded and it's like...nothing really came of her.

Yeah, her arc suffered from the show getting cut short.
