>Case in point: if you remove Wonder Woman’s bloodlust, you weaken her character back to the one-dimensional archetype of worldwide “peace and love.” You revoke her agency. You make her dull. The argument is not to change Wonder Woman so she fits with a framework derived from, or imposed upon, myth. It’s not an appeal to a highbrow literary standard, or rigid abidance by tradition. It’s an argument to align her character once again with the naturally occurring manifestations of virtue, and the character flaws associated with its misapplication, as have existed across human cultures and their stories throughout history, because it’s a pattern which closest aligns with truth.
OPINION: Why Wonder Woman Works Best As An Anti-Heroine
Fuck off with this shit. If Superman and Batman can be paragons that everyone should aspire to, so the same applies for Wonder Woman.
You're one of the shitters who wants discount Xena
This.
Superman=Hope.
Batman=Justice.
Wonder Woman=Compassion.
You need all three in perfect balance.
This
>We need MORE edgy Wonder Woman
No
It makes less sense for Wonder Woman to kill than Superman or Batman. I actually DON'T mind extreme cases like Maxwell Lord but giving her this unquenchable desire to kill everyone she sees is just fucking stupid.
They can be Paragons in different ways. It's not like Batman and Superman have the same morals or personalities
Balance of what? How do they work of each other?>Fuck off with this shit. If Superman and Batman can be paragons that everyone should aspire to, so the same applies for Wonder Woman.
If Batman can be an anti hero so can she otherwise you have three bland copies
For the one-hundred billionth fucking time;
MAKE YOUR OWN FUCKING CHARACTER IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS ONE
Your opinion is shit, casual
>wonder woman
>bloodlust
w-what
Batman isn't an anti-hero you fucking moron. How about you actually read some comics before trying to "fix" everything? Faggot.
Funny thing? They did, and her name was Maxima up until they made her gay
Justice has to be tempered by compassion.
Justice can give strength to Hope.
Hope enables compassion.
Maybe we just need to stop trying to pretend that DC has a trinity instead of a duo (at best)
They definitely do have the same morals, they just approach them from a perspective of optimisms vs realism. Because while they both believe in truth and justice, Superman is always ready to stop deceit and injustice at a moments notice, but Batman needs to be able to see it coming.
>Perfectly wholesome superhero works better as a fascist douchebag
Why are casuals this basic?
>Batman
>paragon
He's a massive fuckup that regularly gets good people killed because he refuses to kill mass murdering lunatics.
Don't let the mandated batwank pull the wool over your eyes. He's fucking terrible at what he does.
A lot of retards fail to understand that WW is all about subverting the Greek myths. Playing Diana and the Amazons straight as bloodthirsty warriors misses the point entirely.
>Batman isn't an anti-hero you fucking moron.
>beat people to a coma
>break their limbs
>Dosen't want help with his city
>His city
>Gone thru 8 Robins and counting
He may not be a Antihero, but he isn't a hero let alone someone to "be paragon that everyone should aspire to"
>Thinks Injustice WW is good characterization
>Badmouths Marston
Into the fucking trash.
Also because I shared this article people now think I know CGers and looking at this site it does seem to be filled with the same tripe/
>Funny thing? They did, and her name was Maxima up until they made her gay
it was funny/sad how they do/didn't let Maxima lust for superman while ruining wonder woman
How to spot a casual
>Batman should kill
>Batwank is all Batman is
Nice goalpost moving, OP. Just admit you're a dumb faggot and let your trash thread slide
>Gone thru 8 Robins and counting
They all becomes playboys
that's why DCSHG Diana is the best Diana, savage
Because if idols are shitty people then you're allowed to be as well.
>Batman isn't an anti-hero you fucking moron.
Arguably he is in the literary sense, but even then that mostly depends on the run.
Isn't it
Truth: Wonder Woman
Justice: Batman
And the American Way: Superman
>American Way
>Illegal Migrant
fitting
In many ways, including meta ways, Superman is a caricature of a pure avatar for the USA
This character is always amusing to me because there seems to be this big divide between her fans, and what the general public prefers of her. Like if you bring up the DCAU/DCEU versions, they'll start bitching about them, but those are the only versions the masses took to in a rather positive way the past few decades. They're both somewhat milquetoast and aren't particularly offensive or stand out a ton. The whole arrogant barbarian that swings her sword around too loosely has never caught on up to this point for this character and stuff like Injustice did her no favors for the longest time being that way.
VS System Cards were
Batman; Avatar of Justice
Superman, Avatar of Peace
Wonder Woman, Avatar of Truth
