Is King of the Hill the ultimate boomer show?
Is King of the Hill the ultimate boomer show?
How is this appealing to anyone outside of flyover county
Its the best cartoon in existence you just have to be older than 18 to enjoy it.
theres a surprising amount of black people who love this show
How the fuck is that possible
[as] reran the shit out of it
Some people aren't assholes
Wouldn’t black people be turned off by how white it was
Nigerian here, I fucking love KOTH
Cotton was the best
Blackie here, love this show to death.
KotH is just a western slice of life anime
A surprisingly amount of black people are male and thus not butthurt and bitching about shit all the time
sometimes you just leave the tv on for background noise and you end up growing attached
plus hank isnt all that different from a random black dad
Why would they be?
Only blacks that care about race too much or fall for the PC bs hook line and sinker or only watch black movies, shows, and listen to only music by black artist care about that. Most blacks like it and most would watch this over The Proud Family.
im white and i loved the bernie mac show
No
But KotH is honestly one of the greatest depictions of generation gaps ever.
Black males: This shit is funny I like it
Black females: WAAAH not enough blacks or etc!
I went to high school in the late 00s with a black guy who loved this show. All he ever talked about was KotH and white women's feet.
Sounds pretty based, I’m white and like KoH and black QTs feet. We could hang in an alley and say yup
Based
I miss Bernie...
Must of been me then user, because I love me some KOTH and white women's feet.
because a lot of black people live in texas and despite the fact that this is about a white texan neighborhood near dallas, this show also captures the black communities near houston and austin very well
Except Hank is the complete opposite of a boomer. He worked to get where he is. Now The Simpsons is a show actively written by boomers.
>Except Hank is the complete opposite of a boomer. He worked to get where he is
He literally got the job because another boomer gave it to him
Because the show is so whitebread even Carlton would give it a pass
My dad is pretty much a Canadian Hank and it’s one show he’ll put on besides the news and action movies. And big bang theory. I remember he left it on once when the characters were talking about tools, and I knew he was hooked.
Then there was an episode on that was making fun of Canadians, he switched the channel and didn’t watch it again for a while.
I think you're confusing KoTH for Caillou.
It went to shit after the first season. It started as a heartwarming show about a flawed but loving father, but it became the "Hank is never wrong" show.
Hank is a son of a ww2 vet born in the early 50s. The only bigger boomer in his family is the literal GI baby he left in Japan.
But Hank is shown to be wrong well into the final season.
>Then there was an episode on that was making fun of Canadians, he switched the channel and didn’t watch it again for a while.
To be fair, it’s widely considered one of the worst episodes of show period. Neither side really came out looking good.
hank is wrong all the time tho
until lucky came around. then hank was rightly never wrong
I wouldn't say that. Hank made plenty of mistakes through the series. Hell he almost sent Kahn off the deep end in the final episode for getting him off his meds.
I think it's less 'Hank is never wrong' and more 'Hank is the most stable'. So everyone just assumes he's right about things
Are blacks not allowed to like something if there's too much white in it?
No one cares about flyover county
It's rare as fuck in being a non left leaning comedy that laughs with its conservative characters, not at.
I know people point out it does have Hank embracing liberal values (mostly in episodes not written by Judge) but for every one of those, there's an episode where the liberal subject matter was mocked and Hank was right about it.
It’s cringe to see white people try to steal black culture, it’s just as cringe seeing black people trying to experience white culture
>Thank you for boggle lesson, Peggy Hill. Maybe next weekend I teach you mahjong! Bring your checkbook.
Minh is hilarious and Peggy is the perfect victim. Whoever doesn't like her is getting plebfiltered hard.
