I have heard accusations about both Black Panther and Captain Marvel

For Black Panther It only succeeded because multiple black people saw it multiple times. And for Captain Marvel it didn't actually succeeded and only looks that way because Disney bought tickets. Are the accusations real?

First one yes, second one, No, it didn't succeeded because of the plot, Black Panther succeeded because everyone watching it didn't want to be racist.

>White people are so jealous of a woman and a black people that they make up rumour

Reminder that MCU is only successful because of low IQ people.

>and a black people

No it's all dumb shit people say because they cant handle a world where everyone doesnt hate the things they hate.

>multiple black people saw it
>Chinese
>black
Same for Marvel, the Chinese saved this shit.

Yes user. And between you and me, it was all a plot hatched by the Illuminati and the reptillians, and executed by their clog-wearing dutch psycho-engineers to erode faith in the white heterosexual male.

>the Chinese
>low
Sounds legit.

Black Panther would have succeeded either way but it succeeded way fucking harder because it was made into a cultural milestone by the black community

Carol Danvers fucked her own son, she is an incest role model rather than a feminist one.

>believing lies made up on the internet

That why you got a president who mishandled a pandemic outbreak and why you're about to die soon.

>in b4 not american

Because if you weren't, you wouldn't care about American films doing well at the box office.

Nope

I am OP and I will like to say I saw both movies and enjoy them and I remember in both theatres it movie theatre was pretty packed. And I will be in a medium-sized town in Canada. Also what s this feminist agenda people say about Captain Marvel movie?

Seething white women
how does it feel that noone likes you and how your kind are always so disgusting on how you take oppressed people problems and make it your problems?

BPs numbers were inflated by the weird “charities” paying to have poor black kids see it for some reason, it still would’ve made a profit and probably still would’ve hit over a billion but it would’ve been neck and neck with CM

good for you, I watched bits of it, and I couldn't see that either, I wasnt a fan of black panter because of its CGI and its Corny Jokes, too cringy for me, but the actors were good, I think Killmonger Did nothing wrong.

I never got why Marvel pushed this incestuous slut as their feminist simbol.

>BPs numbers were inflated by the weird “charities” paying to have poor black kids see it for some reason,
My guess is to make a good role model for the poor black kids to Identify with .

Because they didn’t own the film rights to its actual popular heroines at the time and they didn’t like Monica for some reason

I enjoyed Black Panther... Captain Marvel was fucking garbage though

Comics get weird sometimes.

That is the most depressing thing I have ever heard

It's pretty fucking sad if you think about it.

>For Black Panther It only succeeded because multiple black people saw it multiple times
Nope, it was made to pander blacks and black people saw it multiple times but lots of people went too, mostly in the US.
>Disney bought tickets
Fake.

Both movies are part of the new wave of consumer activism, and that shit work in the US, and to a lesser extend in Europe.

Do you honestly think that anyone who watched the movie gives a fuck about some dumbasses wrote 20+ years ago or even the comics at all.

BP was actually pretty good, or at least the visuals were amazing because they created this awesome African culture that was both very African while also being extremely advanced.

Mind you it was all bullshit and surprisingly offensive in several regards if you actually think about it, but getting a celebration of Blackness that isn't some glorification of the hood? Fucking priceless.

On Black Panther, it worked because it was marketed as a cultural phenomenon for Black People. They basically manipulated them to watch this film. White people saw it because it's a Marvel film and didn't want to seem racist if they didn't watch it. It was ok, but nothing extraordinary. CGI was crap in it though.

On Captain Marvel, most people saw it since it was suppose to tie into Endgame. It was mediocre.

No these are just copes for the "get woke go broke" narrative being BTFO on a large scale.

>They basically manipulated them to watch this film.

You act like that isn't every fucking consoomer item ever.

No Captain Marvel was the best actually.

That was the positive though, like I didnt hate all of it, but I personally didnt like the CGI and the Corny Jokes

>For Black Panther It only succeeded because multiple black people saw it multiple times.

the cope in this thread. It was a success cause it's a fucking marvel movie, people like BP from Civil war and there was almost no competition.

BP marketing was bizarre. It was like being transported to an alternate dimension were Black Panther was the first movie with a black main character.

Fair enough.

For some reason "First" has a pull with people, no matter how much of a fucking lie it is, so marketers slap it in to campaigns despite being straight up lies.

Despite being 13% of the population, one demographic accounted for 52% of Black Panther's box office.

That's dumb, blacks don't have the buying power to substantially hit the box office like that. You can look at the largely black-focused films and see that much. Judging by older black-focused films and adjusting for inflation, blacks can only concentrate about $100m on a film market as a whole. That's not nearly enough, even if every black person bought multiple times, to suggest BP would've flopped otherwise.

yeah, but I did enjoy the actors, they were good, but this is capeshit, like batman and the avengers
there is good capeshit and bad capeshit

All gay superhero is the first gay superhero.

BP was actually quite fun and it was worth seeing in the cinema, my friends and I watched it twice.

We also watched CM, but all the fucking seats were empty, but the cinema was 50% booked when we were choosing seats (Philippines), and all of my friends reported similar. I'd say there is something there, yes.

Also of very interesting note: Every Marvel Studios film, since the first Iron Man, has always been shown here exactly ten days before North America, with one exception: Captain Marvel.

Now this is just my guess, so take this as you will, but I suspect that's because it's shown earlier in some territories to generate positive buzz about the films before the NA release. Pretty much everyone I've spoken to here who watched it felt the same way about it: it wasn't that fun to watch and it felt kind of "shoehorned-in " and didn't really fit in with the rest of the MCU.

I have problem with Black Panther's script, but I can't deny that I love the set design and costume work for the film.

man right wingers are so fucking retarded and friendless they actually think people will think you are racist just for not seeing a movie. I'm leftist and all my friends are and literally no one gives a shit about what movies you watch. you retards are just actually racist, that's why everyone keeps calling you racist

lmao based

Even the " first relevant black superhero movie" was wrong when there was huge black superhero movies like Blade and Hancock.

the fuck are you replying to, you stupid cracker

>Are the accusations real?
Well it's a good thing this is Yas Forums - conspiracy and omniscience so we can get to the bottom of every supposition.
