Being Tiny Sucks

>obtain fantasy power weapon
>makes you tiny
Why do people think being small is a good power? Who is out there wishing for the superpower to shrink over anything else in the world? You can't save the day, you can't even get a girl.
You could impress girls with super strength or flight. How are you going to impress a girl by being 2 inches tall?
Grey Matter and all Galvans suck compared to Way Big.

Sounds like you typed that with one hand.

There's some useful traits to bring small like being able to fall from very high with little damage or navigating crannies but yeah in general it seems MUCH more dangerous that useful.

That's cause he's 3 inches tall

Are cartoon writers just massive perverts?

Not just the writers.

smol is cute.

his power isnt being small, it’s being smart

I wanna make small

If he was so smart he'd stop turning into an alien smaller than a pizza roll so he doesn't get stepped on or splatted.

Hal?
Where are you?
...Hal?

Grey matter is a good contrast to ben’s other aliens. Or would you rather have another big strong guy that punches things?

Antman can shrink and expand in a person.
He beats nearly everyone

Hal is dead.

He has plenty of tech-based aliens that don't involve being flushable.

Honestly, it's not a very heroic power though it does give you a whole range of possibilities, depending on how small you can get.
Now shrinking villains or their minions - that's terrifying. Unseen, unheard, undetected they could do immense harm if they know where to strike. They could kill you in various creative ways and no one will ever find out.

Yeah, but they could also die in various creative ways where nobody ever finds out.

So you can feel the overwhelmingly sexual sensation of your entire body being gripped inside of someone's hand

*ahem*

I want the GREEN Lantern, not the Silver Lantern.

>episode where villain shrinks down a bunch of minions to attack the hero from the inside
>shrunk down minions keep getting crushed, squashed, lost, and stuck in places
>hero goes about a normal day without even noticing they're under attack

Okay, you sold me.

Dude the ability to shrink things is one of the most underrated super powers. Bad guy can't fight you if he can't see you. Civilian rescue, shrink them down and carry them out of there. Bomb? Shrink it, now it blows up nothing. Hell, I think there was a point where pym could shrink space between himself and opponents to move faster.

That's why grey atter was good in earlier episodes. Some aliens hae advantsges, some of them have disadvantages, it's how you keep the writing going.

This sounds like a sideplot of a Venture Brothers episode.

cuz thats what happened

Yeah, kinda with the big Venture heist, huh?
I liked the concept of Reduca as a villain too.

Yeah, except when turning small there always seems to be created by being small.
This problem generally isn't created when being an alien that can meld with tech or punch really good.

I agree but would shrinking the bomb work with a nuke? Isnt the splitting of the atom the cause of the explosion?

Depends on the kind of shrinking. Some shrinking reduces spaces between molecules, which would presumably still mean the atoms exist at the same size to be split. Some actually shrink the atoms and molecules themselves, so in that case the Nuke's power would be weaker. People like Hank can do either, both or mix effects. youtu.be/jzzpqecbDOc

Based Ant-Man

Dwarfstar was pretty OP. Shrinks objects, steals them and, if needed, chucks them at the hero to crush him.

haha imagine he got small and then accidentally fell inside gwen's shoes and she puts them on, wouldnt that be a funny episode lol

This isn't for the ability to shrink objects.
Shrinking objects still requires you to get to that object which at a small size is incredibly dangerous. Especially if you're approaching a building from a distance so you were never seen on cameras.

Or you could have a ray or guns or ride ants or make a phone call and ride the electrons or any number of other things to get where you want to go. Old school Ant-Man had a mini human cannonball cannon that could just throw him wherever he wanted to go in the city, bad he'd just get launched, and land no problem cause he was small. Are you just trying to talk about shrinking yourself? Again, that depends, people like Ant-Man retain thier full strength which means you can move pretty damn fast.

its only good if you also get to be at least as fast as a rat

Size changing is the best even when limited, like this guy

Not co but still a size changing power.
