>can't pirate them yet

Who looked at these poses and faces and said "Yep, that'll do." ?

oh neat, the book 2 movie or is it a proper series now?

It could be worse.

What is this show about?

Proper series. 10 episodes this season, 10 more episodes the next.

Kid goes around mutating random animals (scrammers) and has them fight his best friend's brother's evil robots or something. I only saw a few episodes because the writing is very Canadian in style. It has a shitload of these Pokemon ripoffs, though, which is where the budget must have gone - the visuals look like ass most of the time.

The amount of celebrity push in this show is fucking crazy, Mark Hamill, Rosario Dawson and Bruce Campbell are in it, why is no one talking about it?

No rips yet

Not enough coombait.

Netflix notably does very little advertising on its shows. Only Dreamworks cartoons get even noticed because they do a lot of advertising and building up hype that small companies can't do.

Also, it only released a single pilot movie before and it wasn't that great, so discussion died fast. I've only watched two episodes into season two. It seems fine so far.

that show is just more sjw garbage about "men weak, women strong"

The bully is the strongest party member

the enitre movie basically is about the boys failing to pretty much anything and constantly needing to be rescued or ordered around by the girl
all this anti male attitude in media is so fucking overdone
literally every male character is a screw up these days so that marie sue female characters can steal the spotlight

How does season 2 compare to the first one? I'm probably going to watch it this weekend.

>getting this assblasted over cartoons

The characters are boring, all of them. Specially the nerd and the strong female character

>Joshua Pruett is involved
>the same man who worked Melissa Chase and Veronica from Milo Murphy’s Law
Makes you think

>the enitre movie basically is about the boys failing to pretty much anything and constantly needing to be rescued or ordered around by the girl

Did you not watch it? I mean, June meets the "strong female character" cliche hard, but the story was about her admitting she needed help and company. If anything, the narrative seems to revolve around kissing Jack's ass, even if he's objectively the worst team member.

I agree. That's how I want to leave this world to another.

This is a perfect example of a show that is good but almost exclusively catered to children’s taste. I have read the books and I saw the initial movie. I can confidently recommend this to a 6 year old since they’d probably really like it. It’s totally solid and the animation is actually really nice even if the art style is a little bland. But I can’t think of why any adult would want to watch it. I read the books for work (literacy presentation), even with all the death and violence it’s still super kiddish and the main kid sucks.

>I read the books for work (literacy presentation),

That sounds fun, not gonna lie.

>even with all the death and violence it’s still super kiddish

Yeah. It has this weird dissonance where monsters, even humanoid ones, get impaled, exploded, or get their limbs cut off, yet you also keep the hyper comedy and have the protags avoid slaying zombies because they can cure them someday.

Bump

It's a bit more fun. The rest of the cast is fine. The protag is less of a tool over the girl so far. I'm liking the monster characters and the expanded lore. It would've been boring if it was just the kids versus zombies.

>less of a tool
>expanded lore
>Monsters
>More fun

Thats basically everything I wanted, sweet.

Rips when?

>writing is very Canadian

so you're saying it's really bad, right?

I think you should know the answer to that one.

I feel like that shouldn't work
