That episode where Steven invalidates his father's childhood abuse

Overshadowed by the very next episode where Steven murders a homeless war vet

Steven having to live in a van for the first few years of his life because Greg couldn't make nice with his parents was child endangerment

>That episode where Steven's dad cucks Steven from his girlfriend

this, its pretty obvious Greg was a shitty young kid and just couldn't respect his parents.

steven was upset because he could have had a perfectly normal childhood if his dad hadn't been such a deadbeat

His parent had a drawer full of unopened mail from Greg. They where assholes who disowned him, didn't even know Steven existed probably.

What kind of people don't at least want to see their grandchild?

>that episode where Steven yells at his girlfriend for wanting to keep her individuality

I love how SU has no positive male role models

Is it possible that they both had valid points and that perhaps simplifying it down to a basic "one is evil and one is not" dillema misses the point of the episode, especially considering how ambiguous the circumstances of Greg's childhood actually were? Steven had every right to be upset with how he grew up, but Greg wasn't a particularly bad dad regardless, even if he wasn't perfect.

It's so fucking crazy how he got away with killing someone with no real consequences. Like, violence and murder is against every fiber of Steven's being and it just treated it like "oh I'm so sad I make bad choices :("

The most fucked up part is Jasper was obsessed with Steven after getting killed by him and she got no closure other than "go do something better with your life"

>literally the episode before this Greg leaves his job tour managing to be there for his son

>raises his kid in a van because he's too self centered to think about his childs needs
>lets literal aliens who know nothing about humans to raise his son
>doesn't even put his kid in school
I mean really he could have at least tried to homeschool him

>I mean really he could have at least tried to homeschool him
I'm pretty sure Steven WAS homeschooled.

You mean the episode where Greg is a spoiled brat and says his son is better off with PTSD. Greg is just like every other hippie, a spoiled brat who considered their parents ever telling them what to do ever as being abused

not for the first 14 years of his life

Think about what a fucking paradox that order must have been for her. In her mind, their can be nothing more worthwhile than devoting you life in service of your diamond. What could be better?

I'm surprised her gem-brain didn't melt on the spot.

Lmao get out of here with your common sense. Extreme takes only!

She's staying in a place with people now how is that not closure. She has actual oppurtunites to grow.

>abuse

People need to stop misusing this term.

Cringe

people who watch this shit think mean words on the internet is abuse, goes to show you what kind of audience this show has

Go back to bitching about your parents giving you a bedtime

I dunno just enjoy the kino David Bowie-esque song

There are no positive role models in this show
It isn't a good show

Can't just blame Greg. Aren't there laws for children to be schooled? Yeah the comic states he isn't dumb and the gems may be qualified to teach him but they didn't go through the proper procedures to do so.

The entire town is at fault for not reporting Steven's upbringing.

I mean I'm not saying that Greg gave Steven the perfect childhood, but he generally cared about Steven and he ended up living in a house with three people who were able to provide for him anyway. To say it was "abuse" is ludicrous.

>that episode where Steven told a victim of his mom's abuse to shut the fuck up

you are entitled to an education
you are not obligated to go to school

That’s the bare minimum of being a parent, and those people were mentally unstable

Yet they kept the letters...

Where were the pictures of Andy? Or was he Greg's cousin?

Did you miss the finale where he turned into a Godzilla over it

You have to be the connverse shitposter.
There's no way you two aren't the same person.

Did you miss the finale where a hug solved that
