So this is Disney's most autistic character, right? There's no way he wouldn't be diagnosed with autism

He's not autistic, he's a high functioning sociopath

Basil was pretty true to the original.
More so than most adaptations of Sherlock Holmes, I'd say.

It's an adaption of a novel that was a parody of Sherlock Holmes.

That's what makes it impressive.
It's an animated movie based on a kids novel based on Sherlock Holmes and very little was lost in translation, aside from the heavier stuff like his drug abuse.

Post that mouse cunny picture, you know which one...

I feel said drug abuse has become overstated over the years. One would think the Holmes stories consisted of nothing but cocaine and mystery-solving.

Imagine being the homosexual who would go for that other bitch and not this

autistic and gay
he was ratigan's ex boyfriend before the split due to their differences

>his drug abuse
It wasn't 'abuse' back then, just a bad habit.

This. I think it started when the 80s series had made the drug abuse more center stage than the books, but it was well done there.

Take that BBC Sherlock cringe with you.

No idea but his movie is still one of the best, unironically.

>unironically

why did you say unironically ?

He is insecure.

He probably means how people generally think it's shit because it's part of "muh dark era"

>people generally think it's shit

I've never seen someone who hates the movie

The first heavy use of CG in a Disney animated film (The Black Cauldron had some CG mist but it was barely noticeable). It shows its age, but the phenomenal direction and dramatic presentation makes up for it. Very memorable scene.

yeah, many adaptions of holmes make him dickish. basil a pretty cool guy, affable in his way

Get this filthy pornography out of my sight.

That scene (and the Lupin version) honestly kicks ass.

Wouldn't it be funny if Basil had to dress up like Miss Kitty and pretend he's a girl in order to infiltrate and investigate a suspected crime ring haha

Don't be such a fag.

I wouldn't say I hated it, but I'd say the most memorable part was the finale in Big Ben.

Disney bought Star Wars.

I see it quite a bit since the era it was in was before Little Mermaid it has to be bad

If people really re-evaluated these movies they'd realize that The Little Mermaid is a masterpiece but the rest of the renaissance is not as good, especially since they adopted CAPS which made the animation soulless.

There are probably Disney characters that are more autistic out there
