One of tbe best at least
If by best you mean one of the few non-cringe inducing mcu flicks, sure
>This piece of shit is the best in the pile
>half the movie is just character laughing at their own jokes
>starlord turns into pacman during the final battle
>that gay ass yondu line about being his daddy
>non-cringe inducing
Even if gunn isnt an actual pedo i wouldnt doubt he's into pedo porn. Him being friends with a guy who ACtually possessed child porn is kinda wack
That was the movie that ended up with the Marvel "fix" for me.
It's not bad, but it's forgettable. After that, the only Marvel movie I went to see in theater was Infinite War.
But only to have a closure.
Ragnarok did it better
Film gave us best MCU girl, and I shall always be thankful.
Kick names and take ass
Indeed
>He may have been your father, boy, but he wasn't your daddy.
Oof. This relationship came totally out of left field and was really touching. MCU movies are like the McDonalds of drama... it's all pretty basic stuff and yet they still get you with the feels. DCucks and eat shit.
>Oof. This relationship came totally out of left field
What? He'd taken charge of him since he was a kid, and for all the "threats" he cut Peter a ton of slack. He was clearly a favored member of their pirate band, with his own ship and dispensation to run off after valuable treasures on his own.
>Best MCU Film.
NO!
Gunn disrespected Gamora in personality and the costume
lmao
The best Marvel movie isn't even part of the MCU. Pic-related.
>t. seething marvelfag
VOL. 2 was a disappointment after VOL. 1
Meanwhile Ragnarok went from 1/10 to 9/10. That's way more impressive to me.
Those two costumes are incredibly close all things considered.
Cope
Just like the best Marvel show isn't even a Netflix show, lel
And?
I still don't get the hate GOTG 2 gets. I think it's on par with the first film.
i like it better honestly
Went from star wars to star trek. 2 has no identity.
which is to say they're both equally average to bad?
I watched it lasst week. It was ok but some arcs felt rushed.
Gamora and Nebula shared like 2 scenes before their conflict was resolved. Quill and Ego, who unlike Gamora dn Nebula have no established relationship at the start of this movie, interact maybe 4 times before the "twist".
>by the way son I gave your mother cancer
Stupidest. Villain. Ever. I don't care how much it "makes sense for the character", it makes him a complete retard.
The whole "Daddy Yondu" feels forced and disingenious. Its almost a retcon from the pirate captain of the first movie.
Drax laughing was fun because of the brooding build up.
Mantis sounds EXTREMELY retarded -- and oddly asian caricature. However, it really feels she's just being extremely sarcastic and playing dumb, like Phoebe.
Kid Groot was alright.
Rocket and Peter were both great.
Gamora is still stuck in the "overcompetent but lately a damsell in distress in the end" archetype, which is funny.
Ego was fantastic.
Infinity War. They will never top it or come close
He is a pedo and is friends with convicted hollyweird pedos like hudson hiddleston.
>Mantis sounds EXTREMELY retarded -- and oddly asian caricature. However, it really feels she's just being extremely sarcastic and playing dumb, like Phoebe.
It might help to know that Pom Klementieff is half Korean/half Russian and grew up in France, and English is her third language.
That is legit how Pom talks.
I agree
the character development and storytelling here was above most of the rest of the MCU
>you shouldnt have kill my mom and smashed my walkman
>the chain starts playing
top 5 mcu moment for sure
I disagree. I think 2 has a lot going for it. I like how it divides the characters up into pairings where they bounce off each other the most.
Maybe it's slow for people, but I think it's one of my top 5 MCU films.
GOTG is my favorite franchise in the MCU. I love the characters and I love the atmosphere and tone of the films. It's the only part of the MCU that feels like it's actually trying to be different.
