I always thought Batman's reason for not killing anyone is that he would become addicted to it. However, seeing panels like this, where Batman goes out of his way to stop someone else from rightfully killing a villain, I get a little pissed off.

What the fuck is his problem? There's no logical reason for someone like the Joker to be alive. If someone else wants to take care of him, why wouldn't he just let them do it? He can keep his clean streak AND save thousands of future victims, just by turning a blind eye.

He is actually, legitimately insane.

Batman is what an 8-year-old's subconscious mind conjures to deal with trauma. Trying to attribute any kind of logical thought to his actions is foolish.

The killing argument is so retarded. Heroes should be lawful. In the ideal world a hero captures a villain, hands them to police where the villain receives death penalty. Too bad capeshit writers are too stupid to understand such simple things

If he has the ability he'll save life, any life.

Though this is because he himself is as insane as his villains. The reality is that a fucking worker at Arkham should just go into work one day with a gun, or be a cop and shoot them while behind bars. No one would stop you, (save Jim Gordon, though just get your buddies to hold him and mention his daughter).
I bet that even IF you go to jail, everyone would treat you like royalty, sentenced lightly, get a book and movie deal, etc...

>Heroes should be lawful

Vigilantism is illegal.

Not if they're deputized

He's fucking enjoying being batman, as long as Joker or some equally dangerous villain of his is always around, he can continue to go fight, throw that mofo in jail, then wait for them break out and the cycle continues. The justice system has failed so many times, he definitely isn't ignorant to that fact, but he keeps going cause he fucking loves beating up baddies. It doesn't matter if the innocent death count keeps rising, he's having fun. That fear of going down a dark path if he ever kills is fucking stupid, because his actions indirectly lead to way more deaths then what? 20-30 villains? That number would be way lower, assuming by the first couple of baddies he has killed, end up quitting for fear of batman, possible getting reformed into heroes, idk, god I fucking hate batman.

In a serialized fiction like modern comics it makes little sense. That said if taken as it comes, without any hard canon, it does make sense. Batman is not there to replace the law. He isn’t Punisher, he doesn’t think the system is useless. He’s there to make the law work, that’s his job. In order for the law to work he can’t become a murderer.

>posting a non canon pic
Are you retarded?

>Vigilantism is illegal.
Nope.

This page is retarded, Punisher aknowledge that he's wrong and never try to convince others to see his "logic"

Why don't they follow the provisions of when to use deadly force then?

>That number would be way lower, assuming by the first couple of baddies he has killed, end up quitting for fear of batman, possible getting reformed
user, even in the short stint where Batman killed people in the 30's. Even when Barr was writing him in the 80's, even then; that shit did not happen. Also, when involving the few heroes who DO kill, that shit also does not happen.

Why are you lying?

Killing him wouldn't force Daredevil to follow his philosophy.

Batman is just a crazy Thantophobe.

How is he not forcing him to see his way of view?
Other wise there's no point.

WAKE ME UP

Batman is a villain. He saves evil people from justice at the expense of innocent lives. If you wanna kill Joker, Batman needs to die first. Batman deserves to die more than Joker because he is the one keeping Joker from being eliminated.

>Batman is a villain.
Not really no, by this logic every single person is a villain if they don't murder every criminal at sight.

Because most people don't even know that those provisions even apply to the defense of others, which is like 95% of the situations where a hero confronts a villain. Killing a person when they've already been subdued is basically just an execution, sure, but if they have a button ready to press that will blow up a school or hospital, you are well within the clear to take their head off to make sure that those people are not harmed.

Fuck right off with this dishonest bullshit. You know the context that separates Batman from everyone else.

it certainly would apply to every superhero besides the like 4 that actually do that

And? We're not talking about them. We're talking about Batman.

Killing villains inspire more murders what is far worse than not sending criminals to jails because some will escape.

In DD comics it's well established that Matt does this because he's a deluded liberal. But, I love him anyway.
>RIP Karen Page your boyfriend was too emasculated to save you

Any heroe already was in at least one situation, where he would have been justified to kill the villain then.

Why doesn't the joker
rape the batman?

It's just an easy example. There are plenty of canon times Batman has saved a villain from someone else. This one is more blatantly stupid.

At least Matt can sometimes grow a pair. And he is a Catholic. Batman's just a pussy. There's being the Punisher and sometimes making exceptions. It's why Iron Chad will always be better than the Batfag. He's going to pull the trigger.

>Killing villains inspire more murders
This cliche again.
