That said, the trailer looks alright. Not a fan of those designs, particularly with how similar they all look.
Rick making mistakes and not being above everything is a normal writing way of having an engaging character and having them play off situations/characters. Him just being passive aggressive and dismissive of everything isn't engaging at all. It's also hard to be invested in whatever's going on if Rick just pulls out a Glorpadoopy and presses its Hisjarppo and vanquishes the problem while having a family guy face.
Shit was what pissed me off about Gumball's second half of the series. It's even worse when your main character is practically god while also saying god sucks and also so does the story he's in and people he's around. It's not fun at all. Leave it to the R&S crew to completely misunderstanding humor and ways to engage an audience that isn't one braindead.
