Nope it's always been like that. Shippuden is 500 episodes. Pierrot padded animating the manga arcs with lot's of filler in the 2nd half of the anime.

I liked Food Wars but everyone tells me it goes to shit in season 3. Paranoia Agent is a really good replacement. Every once in a while, Demarco actually pulls through.

Paranoia Agent is good but it's not for the Toonami audience who coom over Dragon Ball. It tanked on Adult Swim Action and it'll tank again on Toonami.

Explain again why they put Boruto on break and left Shippuden in? I'm not a fan of either but at least Boruto could actually be something semi-new instead of seven-year-old episodes that no one gives a fuck about anymore.

Rick and Morty has already been renewed for 70 more episodes; it will just be Harmon in charge of the creative side of things from now on.
