That's the stadardized Italian color scheme. Anything else looks weird to ME, it's a matter of what you're used to I guess.

Is it usual in Italian comics for Mickey and friends to be unaging, nearly a hundred years old in canon?

That's the case everywhere. It's not like they retconned out Scrooge making his initial fortune in the Klondike.
