We literally cannot stop winning! PENCILSDOWN
Parker Thomas
Carter Jones
Dang. Will the comic industry survive?
Kevin Lopez
Disney should give control of Marvel production to Panini Italy-
they haven't been stopped by a pesky virus and still publish Disney comics weekly
Eli Wilson
Wow
Lincoln Gonzalez
No. The coronavirus will finally put SJW Marvel out of its misery.
Evan Reed
F
It's for the better. That was no life
Zachary Stewart
My, how the tables have turned
Nicholas Lewis
When marvel survives itll be really funny to watch all of you bitch and moan about how they didnt collapse
Sebastian Diaz
>We
Are you the virus?
Kayden Hill
No, because the virus isn't real.
Ryder Hall
>"At the time they chosen..."
You have literally one job, Rich. What the fuck else do you do all day?
Gabriel Collins
Marvel will survive, but with a much smaller payroll.
Ryder Turner
>they didnt collapse
What do you call the thing that's happening right now? An expansion? A time out? The Marvel we knew is not the Marvel that will make it out the other side of this.
Eli Adams
Silly user, ofcourse not....
James Gutierrez
It doesn’t deserve to survive
Alexander Scott
Pause in production? The company is fine they just aren't purchasing more art while they dont have incoming revenue. It's a cost cutting measure. Thankfully they dont directly employee a great deal of workers.
Once we hit a space where product can get moved we will see projects get picked back up, starting with the most important titles(best selling, planned events etc) and slowly trickling out u til they have a full spread out again. Likely in about a year or two.
Itll definitely be that way for a while. Itll be that way for a lot of businesses for a bit.
Evan Perez
>casualgaters hijacking something they had zero responsibility for as a desperate attempt to stay relevant and cling to some morsel of imagined influence
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Owen Jackson
OBSESSED
Camden Lee
>We
Fucking cringe
Brandon Bennett
Fuck.
Just start releasing the material digitally already.
This "indefinite" delay isn't going to help the LCS's. They are going to be dead by august which is the estimated return for diamond anyway.
This is fucking insane. Stop letting the pissy retailers and their flawed dying market keep us from enjoying new material.
Christian Sanchez
Who's winning?
Cameron Wood
Those of us who stand tall. Those of us unafraid of being labeled "toxic" and "problematic" and you may scoff at us then but now you ask us to save you're industry? We just look down and smirk, "not today."
Oliver Powell
Romero? Chavez? Julius?
Elijah Miller
Casualgate sure is
Henry Jones
Isn't that logical? What's the point of making new books if you can't ship them?
Cooper White
Ah.
So what do you win?
Jeremiah Morales
They could just release the material digitally in the mean time as a stopgap.
And plan for a new longterm model if digital first, then trades isn't viable replacement model.
There is no good reason for this shit.
They're are not going to be enough LCS's that survive this at this rate. And there really isn't any guarantee Diamond will even come back.
Dou you fuckers think all the stuff we were promised before this should just be thrown in a vault if the direct market doesn't come back?
When do you give up and just release the material already?
Jaxon Sanchez
>ask casual gaters to save the industry
Eli Anderson
You sound like you have a very small pee-pee
Adrian Sanders
I could l see them changing to a different distribution model depending on hos long things last. Either way nine of this is the end of world. They will go back to production one way or another eventually.
I'm also not convinced digital has enough market share to warrant a switch over to that as the primary distribution model.
I think their best bet it to look outside diamond for distribution and go from there. Itll be easier to explore once the rona calms down.
Hunter Wilson
Rent Free
Luke Baker
Wouldn't to do the materials digitally the writers and artists and editors would need their equipment at home available?
Blake Nelson
So who are the "toxic" "problematic" ones that are standing tall as mentioned?
Logan Gutierrez
I'm black.
Alexander Wright
According to Gail Simones meltdown
anyone who didn't watch Birds of Prey
Jack Williams
I thought "Comicsgate" said that COVID-19 just accelerated something inevitable.
(Doesn't excuse #PENCILSDOWN tho)
Jaxon Edwards
Yas Forums - "politics" and bait
Adrian Wilson
>
>According to Gail Simones meltdown
>anyone who didn't watch Birds of Prey
Literally 99% of humanity is problematic then.
Sebastian Turner
user is Gail Simone?!
I'm a big fan of her work.
Xavier Edwards
CGers are the kind of people to constantly scream "doom" because one day they will be right. And claiming corona virus has anything to do with SJWs is the latest bullshit. Sales have been increasing over the last few years. But of course, evidence doesn't factor into their mindset.
Ultimately. CGers have never read comics. Never will read comics. All they want to do is dance on the grave of an industry because it is really "conservative" and "traditional" to want people to lose their jobs because their freedom of speech/expression doesn't align with theirs.
Joseph Myers
sorry. any writer or artist worth their salt should KEEP WORKING and get in front of their deadlines for once.
Christopher Brooks
if it's not real, why aren't you volunteering at a hospital instead of shitposting on Yas Forums?
Mason Torres
Why would I need to volunteer at a hospital when there's no real crisis?
Camden Walker
get woke go broke
Brayden Stewart
Good, fuck capeshit.
Jeremiah Watson
Corona isn't dieing down anytime soon. You have people saying this can last into next year or even 2022.
The direct market is going to be dead beyond recovery even by Diamond's estimated return window of august, which isn't all that certain. It's not going to last until next year or 2022.
How long are you willing to tolerate this wait for new material out of vain hope for saving the direct market?
Sebastian Powell
And if they don't have their equipment or software needed at home?
