Is anyone still upset about su/suf?
Is anyone still upset about su/suf?
I'm upset Pearl didn't get more fanservice.
I'm upset at them leaving a ton of shit out and having so little attention given to the non-Steven characters, i am not satisfied at all with how some characters ended up
Well SUF was Steven's story so no shit most of the attention was on him
Why didn't pearl get the dad dick
I felt sad jasper was left with no memories and kinda forgoten
I wasn't that upset in the first place. Given the limitations of the medium, Steven having to face his demons and mature was always going to face challenges. They did a decent job with it.
The only real problem was that after they got new Crystal Gems, they weren't needed and Peridot, Lapis, and Bismuth really didn't get screentime.
I'm glad it's over. It was pretty much shit from the get go, with a few undeniably enjoyable moments, but it's not like there was some fall from greatness, it was more like watching a toddler learn how to walk, then stumble, face-plant, and finally shit itself. Entertaining, but for all the wrong reasons.
Cringe
lewd fanserivce or just silly character bits?
Yes, i feel like SUF was a waste of time
Ouch
I never will not be
Why, Becky, why?
>jasper was left with no memories
Wrong
Jasper got done dirty
other than that, not surprised how it went down just disappointed i expected more
And they still didn't manage to resolve his problems in a satisfying or believable way.
yea sometimes the truth makes you cringe
As someone who has followed the show for like six years and got into animation because of it (I hate myself because of that), no. I'm glad this shitshow is finally over. The show went downhill so subtle that I notice it was already fucked beyond recovery it was too late and I had to keep watching for a resolution.
Yes, it's bad.
Couldn't of said it better myself. Pearl is great though and I can rewatch the Peridot arch anytime.
I followed the show from its beginning, from at the time of its premiere, all the way to its end, but never did I feel any real passion for it. There was a good bit of intrigue throughout the story regarding the history of the diamond empire and the crystal gems, but that was about all that was pulling me along. SU was just something I followed to keep me preoccupied in between finding media that actually interested me. Once it ended, after that terribly embarrassing group hug, I was just like, "Yeah, that seems about right."
There's nothing to be upset about, Future was a mediocre and anticlimactic continuation and by the time the second set of episodes were released the writing was on the wall
It was a flawed but decent cartoon that got a lame last seasons, that's all there really is to it
Not really, she's in a better situation now than ever. If she was yeeted back to the woods THAT would've been shitty.
I stopped giving a fuck after it seemed clear that any problem was going to get solved in the most underwhelming way possible.
>in a better situation than ever
She's right back to square one, still a raging cunt fixated on power and now groveling at Steven's feet despite him having no interest in her because getting shattered validated her worldview
Jasper did nothing and now exists for nothing
SU and SUF where told from Steven POV, of course you where never going to see much of the other characters outside of Steven's perspective.
Pretty much this.
But Ronaldo eps were kinos.
She's in Little Homeschool. Put two and two together retard, do you need everything explained to you? According to this thread very many do.
Just look at this fucking drama queen. More tears than the characters in the fucking show
Someone post the morphthing of Ian and Becky
I'm upset that Rose/Pink didn't really get any closure
SU ended with "lets hug it out" instead of "the diamonds have been defeated."
SUF dropped the ball by focusing on steven and tying up loose ends between the gems. Lapis relationship with the CG is never really explored, considering they kept her trapped in a mirror for 6 millennia. Jasper's relationship with both lapis and peridot is never explored either. Jasper is left with no other purpose in life since the Diamond Authority disbanded and Steven doesn't want her.
"I have nobody left to help" was a dumb plot point to push steven into crazytown. Unless his earth is a utopia, there's plenty of hungry, homeless folks he can assist. Hell, he's a borderline demi-god by human standards. Instead he turns into *another* monster who just needed a hug.
So yeah, a lot of missed opportunities
at first I was let down because I was anticipating full scale war with the diamonds and home world. thought the scale would get huge. now I'm starting to think it was good in the way Dark Souls is, the way you're exploring the ruins of an empire of Gods trying to piece together what happened. It's like that, there's that kind of Shakesperian drama element of this tattered royal family. I'm starting to think it's actually kino.
Especially since she’s clearly still out there.
