What went wrong?
Nothing much: it was The Truman Show for children (the latter which wasn't anything special).
It was a weak premise originally. American Dog never should have been greenlit, and there was only so much they could do to fix the movie even after they rightfully booted the director.
And despite all that it still got nominated for an Oscar
nothing, it was disney animations first critical and commercial success after years being pixar's ugly cousin
It was the first Disney CGI film to be nominated too, so it was a step forward.
She didn't take the knot.
This movie doesn't get enough credit (or scorn) for being the design archetype for all subsequent Disney CGI films.
Disney fucked with Chris Sanders's vision.
I enjoyed this, Tangled, Frozen and Zootopia. Didn't care much about the rest tho. Still, they've improved from their Chicken Little days, that's for sure
I remember that it was kinda weird that the cat wanted to fuck the dog
>enjoyed Frozen
>Didn't care much about Wreck-It Ralph
bruh
Honestly, found it pretty overrated. I liked the first 27 mins, but it gets kinda boring and pedestrian when it switches to Sugar Rush. I'm kinda glad that Brave won the award that year
Nothing, it was fine. Rhino was kinda annoying though
There wasn't a scene of bolt pinning mittens down and raping her for info
Weak writing. You needed better scenes to make the "dog thinks he's super-dog" thing funny. We could have gotten a reverse The Man Who Knew Too Little, but instead we got a Homeward Bound rip-off.
That scene is second on the list of must-have scenes after Bolt giving Penny the knot.
Is a decent movie for what i remember
Needs more r34
Script change and no BoltxMittens
It was about a dog. Nobody likes those anymore.
>I'm kinda glad that Brave won the award that year
Brave winning over Paranorman was a fucking joke.
No, just apathy from a bunch of old Jews. Up winning over Secret of Kells, Coraline and Fantastic Mr. Fox was a fucking joke.
Paranorman was mean spirited as hell. At least Brave had some likeability. I really think Brave deserved the award just for the technology. Merida's hair was quite the archievement back then
Bolt did.
it was mostly pegging though.
even the directors who accepted the award felt like it was bullshit.
because Oscars ARE bullshit
Was the girl's name really Penny tho ? At no point does any human character call her like that. It may be the name of the character she plays in the show
Why is Paranorman so praised nowadays ? It had unappealing designs, unlikeable characters and the jokes are mostly unfunny. I liked the stuff regarding Agatha, but everything else not so much. I especially hated the father character, he was awful
lol who cares
Nothing much really? It's in a bad spot because it was unlucky enough to not be included in the new Reinassance Era, I think it's literally the last film to be included in the 2000's Dark Ages period.
Do people typically count The Princess and the Frog as part of the New Renaissance? I know Winnie the Pooh is left out, but what about pic related (despite being hand-drawn)?
It's just kinda weird how the dog is the only one to call her by name.
It should be. It's better than Moana, Big Hero 6 and the Ralph films in my book. Heck, i find it better than most of the late 90s Reinassance films
I know she was referred to as "The Girl" a lot, but how did her mother address her? Was it really just "Honey" the whole time?
