Another IDW Sonic spinoff.
I still feel Tangle and Whisper was done way too early. This? I barely know the character exists.

After his doubled disobedience and failure he's not likely to be welcome by Eggman or any others, but hasn't accomplished enough to be noteworthy so it sort of makes sense they'd use a spinoff to fluff up his relevance before he ends up irrelevant.
Which is inevitable, Ian, since what can another evil scientist really bring to the table Eggman hasn't or can't?
>Which is inevitable, Ian, since what can another evil scientist really bring to the table Eggman hasn't or can't?
My guess would be to try and write him as an actual character with family and emotions, something Ian can't do for the video game characters because MANDATES. Of course this will fail because he's not what people would read the comic for.
I am surprised that:
A. IDW is not doing melodrama constantly
B. They hired a different writer than Ian to help out on writing.
C. Are still advertising this when the company is about to go bankrupt.
Considering the main comic will be written for a while by someone who considers Sonic "asexual", I don't have much hope for the future.
Go away, /sthg/, just be glad Flynn isn't fucking up the comic for awhile.
Yeah, but they need this. The whole reason (and nobody notices this) the Archie comics worked so well was that Ian was constantly fleshing out the universe and adding stakes. It's necessary to do the same here in order to give the current sonic universe the proper expanded feel.
*fleshing out the universe and adding stakes via back issues and Sonic Universe. Not sure why it didn't get the whole sentence.
He only existed to be a short-term Snively replacement.
While I do agree it's too early and soon for the IDW characters have their own mini-series, I'm still ultmately gracious such act is being done in the first place, contrary to the FFs who, barring Sally, never really got their spots reserved for SU.
IDW Sonic is not for me, but just hearing that this new mini-series won't be handled by Ian is enough to hook me up, as fanboyish and crazy it might sound.
Christ god, finally. With that in mind, I can consider looking forward for what is about to be revealed more of Starline. Certainly no high hopes for great writing, but that it will very refreshing through the departure of Ian, for sure.
Imma pick it up
But Evan Stanley IS asexual.
By the sound of it it's not like it's all about him, he's just headlining.
Not like he's ever been sexual outside of archie.
>IDW Sonic is not for me, but just hearing that this new mini-series won't be handled by Ian is enough to hook me up
He is writing it
>They hired a different writer than Ian to help out on writing.
Archie did the same

actually Ian IS handling the miniseries: it's that the main book is gonna be alternating between Ian and Evan (with the arc in the main book at the same time as the miniseries being Evan) instead of Ian all the time
Your apparent hatred for Ian is funny considering he's one of the few who bothered to write Rotor.
Just to clarify.
Ian Flynn is writing this.
Evan Stanley is taking over the main book.
Evan Stanley is taking over the main Sonic the Hedgehog series as both writer and illustrator, starting with Sonic the Hedgehog #33. This will finally settle the debate on whether it's Ian or the mandates that getting everyone's panties in a bunch.
He's flirted with Rouge before, but they were both just bluffing each other.
the official headlines IDW's giving reporters are weird and misleading: Evan's alternating with Ian and non Evan artists are still on the book
He didn't really snivel up to Eggman though.
>Evan Stanley writing
Expect a lot of Silver x Blaze shipping.
Ian is still gonna ruin the main comic with his writing
They'll act like it anyways
I didn't know Evan Stanley was a chick.
Being a character is more than just "having family" and "emotions" which in Flynnfags' world means "cry".
ok
honestly I hope we get even more writers in the mix down the line. "Evan & Ian with the occasional guest writer" sounds perfect
People missing the main news:
>Evan Stanley is taking over main book duty over Ian
You got what you guys wanted.
I used to think she was a guy and that Tracy Yardley was a girl.
