Which anime is that and which one came first ? Can't be a coincidence
all one piece characters
The anime is Golden Bat and that character (Penny) debuted in 1966.
steven universe is nothing but plagiarism with the creator hiding her lack of creativity by calling it homage
The only thing they have in common is the color blue
I honestly can't find myself caring.
Same hair. It is unusual hair.

>Dana Swipes
Why is it always white women in California that steal their ideas from anime?
Sugar, you have some explaining to do
yeah I noticed it after the post.
Man, i've always credited Lapis for being one of the few appealing character designs in SU, and now it turns out that she's a ripoff design...
>things i dont like plagiarized
>things I do like its called a shoutout or a reference
now both can eat shit
This.
Case in point.
Sugar is a worthless hack
Now defend Ian and OKKO, where every single solitary character is an "homage" to an existing anime, video game or cartoon character, without one single, solitary original idea in the entire series.
oh wow
I don't care about OK KO but the same applies. It's a homage whether you like it or not. If it were a rip-off they'd be sued into oblivion, but I don't expect Yas Forums to be able to understand that.
When you have as much money as Disney, you can commit all the IP theft you want and nobody can afford to take you to court over it.
wasn't Disney Tezuka's inspiration?

>that time when Adventure time stole a character from a kid, called it homage and monetized it.
why are animators such a bunch of fucking thieves?
Every other art industry relies on criticism to thrive, but animators have become a clique where you can't say anything remotely mean to them or they blacklist you. So they see every bad thing they do related to their work as justified.
They made the kid that invented Me-Mow sign a waiver (or made their parents sign it, anyway). The "payment" to the kid was seeing their OC canonized as an AT character.
>why are (((animators))) such a bunch of fucking thieves?
No more originality
I guess that's a neat trade-off.
