That was established a little while back, wasn't it?
the mob thing was brought up before I think, but the police being part of it is new
The fuck is this comic even about at this point?
Who the fuck knows. I remember when it was about college life and college drama. Mainly following a young woman getting used to a new environment. But this thing is more packed with unnecessary fat than a fat fetishist's art commission.
this, it's just ridiculous, this comic started as a realistic slice of life version of the previous comic but now is a fucking superhero comic with supervillains where this amazi girl do all sorts of impossible Batman-lvl feats even though she is a 5'3 chubby girl playing video games all day plus romantized version of Dissociative Identity Disorder
This would unironically work better if Amber was a paranoid lunatic and the whole story is just in her head.
Amber a big dumb dumb
>Super glue to conceal my fingerprints
You know because gloves would be too obvious
Evil dads, haven't you been paying attention?
Wait, what. Her dad is now some kind of criminal mastermind mafioso?
How fuckinh expensive is her tuition if bribing everybody is cheaper?
Police. On the take. In an Indiana college town. Really.
>Joyce is Dave's self-insert
>Dave is a man in his 40s who identifies as a damsel in distress while charactizing his parents as comic book villains.
I actually liked Shortpacked when it was Robin fanservice and Transformers jokes. Shame what happened to him
Unless the comic twist is that her father is simply a crazy lonely fuck making up excuses to play superhero with his distant daughter then the whole thing is nosense.
Dave Willis having a protracted temper tantrum because his patents made him go to church instead of letting him watch TV.
This is just stupid.
Willis got bored of slice-of-life drama college story and decided to go Millar Kickass.
At this point, I’m still waiting for Willis to give Amber superpowers to really jump the shark.
It's probably just the principle of the thing.
It's still their first year
>the comic has been going on for 8 years now
>>its still their first year at collage
goddamn it walky you hack
Used to be that every real-life year was a in-story week. If it wasn't for the timeskips, they'd still only be eight weeks into school.
Also,
Mary?
Always
Now and forever
The fuck, does time move slow as shit for them
Church bad
Parents bad
Lesbian good
>first year
It's still their first semester
I seriously haven't kept up with this comic in like two years or so due to infrequent threads. What's she been up to? Last I remember was when it looked like Willis was setting up the much wanted Mary x Carla ship and then swerved and showed that she was taking the man dick and not Carla's feminine penis.
haha, wtf
So let me get this straight, the mob is okay with one of their associates creating a grand and easily traceable criminal conspiracy to commit several kidnappings in order for said associate to be able to stop paying his kid's tuition, despite the fact that he's able to somehow afford said criminal conspiracy and bribing the the police, and they're also okay with his conspiracy attacking federal agents to kidnap a major staff member for Congressional Representative? Is this plot going to end with some guy named Guido putting a bullet in Blaine's head and offering everyone a "sincere" apology for their troubles?
It's not even the end of October yet
>>Joyce is Dave's self-insert
>>Dave is a man in his 40s who identifies as a damsel in distress while charactizing his parents as comic book villains
Joyce is madly in love with a black man, was nearly raped, has had her life threatened on numerous occasions, is obsessed with children, took care of a friend banished for being gay, and has about a million other experiences in this comic that Willis will never experience or understand. And yet she's the character that is supposed to be the most like him.
It bothers me that people eat up his comic as if he knows anything about college or what it's like to be a young woman in her first year of college.
Just so you know, it's been 10 years. He's planning on it being eternal freshman year. Because that's the only year of college he attended.
