I'm having a flashback. If I think about this and that thread was probably a hidden homestuck thread, but then that one just became a random astrology and and acutal Astrolology discussion thread.
I personally just think astro(lo)logy is pretty neat
Hey user did you know today is Homestuck day?
Has anyone had a go at female designs for all the signs? I remember an user saying they fucked up not making them all girls and I've been wondering what that could look like. Cancer, Sagi and Virgo are great so I'd love to see the others in that style.
I'd like to know what they'd look like as well
spinel?
I love her
I can't believe Cancer is fucking dead...
Your post reminded me of this
>character is named "Cancer"
>dies from crocodile attack
Just keepin us on our toes, I guess.

She doesn't actually die
I never understood this, why was cancer named after the sign?
They are all named after their starsigns. Earlier in production, they used to have other names. Cancer was Candy.
Cancer's 2D design seems like the only one that was mostly untouched in the transition to 3D, though we did only see a handful of the rest.
The linguistic history of 'cancer' has been muddled but here's the gist of what I got after 5 minutes of googling:
>it was first taken notice by egyptians (or at least that's the earliest written proof we have)
>Hippocrates was the one who used the word 'carcinos (or karkinos)' to describe ulcers caused by the disease.
>which was later translated into 'cancer' by Roman physician, Celsus
>oncologists are people who treat cancer. this word comes from the greek 'onkos' which means 'masses'
As to why mr Hip. used 'crab' to describe it? Because they were hard like a crab's shell? Or because it would cause a painful pinching sensation? Or how the crab never lets go, it's difficult to get rid of it, if at all, like the disease itself. It's unclear.
