Because why not?
Infinity Train thread
Season 3 when?
OTGW was far better
...than everything on CN
FTFY
Not as good as early AT imo, but still one of the very best CN shows
Even Flapjack is a far better show than Infinity Train imo
Given that we haven't heard about any renewals and Owens 11 months to make a show chart, probably sometime early in '21 I'd say.
You've gone too far this time user, you must be stopped
It would probably be more appealing to troubled kids than to adults, but it's reasonable enjoyable. Tulip is likeable enough to root for.
how about we discus the trains tech to spice things up?
>capabilities
teleportation (kidnapping the passengers)
matter generation (creating the carts from thin air)
unbreakable materials (each cart is pulling
all the thousands of cats behind it)
pocket dimensions (each cart is bigger inside)
gravity manipulation ( the word puzzle car had a floating vehicle)
>teleportation (kidnapping the passengers)
Is it teleportation if we don't know where they go after they step on?
>matter generation (creating the carts from thin air)
Unless the train is gathering materials from somewhere. They do seem to be built up from a shell, rather than just made complete from out of nowhere.
>unbreakable materials (each cart is pulling all the thousands of cars behind it)
Seeing as the cars have the ability to ride along on top of the train, it stands to reason that each one has it's own propulsion system, The Engine might be the main source of power, but it seems like the whole train is working in unison.
>pocket dimensions (each cart is bigger inside)
Is it? Both seasons really on'y showed them take relatively straight paths to the doors. None of them really tested the limits of how much they could explore. The cars are rather huge when you really look at them. And we saw in the Turtle Car that the sky can disappear. It might be more like a video game with the horizons painted on.
>gravity manipulation ( the word puzzle car had a floating vehicle)
It had rocket engines on it.
It definitely does some kind of space warping
The frog car is only about the size of the average bedroom, and when you go through it you come out on the other side of the massive car. It condensed the space of the car into the tiny room, so theres no reason to think it couldn't do the reverse.
Also, the orbs make object appear and disappear like projections, so if they were made of any "material" it would have to be some kind of light. At that point it might as well be matter creation.
Tulip is a gamer
Is that the Minecraft car?
OTGW is just a different kind of beast. Its tone is very different from IT and pretty much every other cartoon, as is the way it handles stakes. If I were a snob, which I am, I'd say it's very eastern in the way it deals with closure. Was the world real? Does it matter? The show wont tell us.
What I'm saying is that it's hard to compare it to other Yas Forums media.
I think I prefer IT because it's got a more western approach to its themes, especially with Lake in season 2. The mysteries get solved, the characters get closure. Lake fights to get what she wants and gets it, none of that Pixar, Miyazaki, what you need is more important than what you want, follow your destiny malarkey.
And I mean look at how fucking cute Lake and Jesse are.
oh hell, I knew I should have made the thread today, I am preparing something to make the IT threads a little more interesting(just a little) but with so many things to do I have not had time, so as I missed this I want to support here a little, tell me what you want and I will bring it here(preferably fanarts)
the "best shows" are a universal farce that proves that reality is subjective
>And I mean look at how fucking cute Lake and Jesse are.
This
Try saying that to an actual best show.
I mean adventure time got a Minecraft episode so why not?
>what you need is more important than what you want malarkey.
I mean... I would say that pretty wholly encapsulates the bulk of good western animation. Hell, 90% of the Disney Renaissance films are "character sets out to get what they want, but learn what they need" B plots.
IT is no different - hell, if anything I'd say the very purpose of the train fits that plot archetype to a fucking T: Character on train wants to get off, getting off requires overcoming emotional trauma and obtaining catharsis.
>I am preparing something to make the IT threads a little more interesting
What kinda something?
>Is it teleportation if we don't know where they go after they step on?
I suppose that he refers to the term of moving matter, if the passenger's body goes with it and not only the soul it would be teleportation
>Unless the train is gathering materials from somewhere. They do seem to be built up from a shell, rather than just made complete from out of nowhere.
I believe that everything is a kind of virtual reality
>Is it? Both seasons really on'y showed them take relatively straight paths to the doors. None of them really tested the limits of how much they could explore. The cars are rather huge when you really look at them. And we saw in the Turtle Car that the sky can disappear. It might be more like a video game with the horizons painted on.
That is another reason why I think that everything is a kind of virtual reality, not all the Exits are static (as in "The Lucky Cat Car") which would indicate that they do not obey the physical laws as such and these can be programmed according to the car
>It had rocket engines on it.
Nice just remember not to grind moon rocks
Only season 2 of IT was good
Season 1 is "tribe war" pedo coomfest shit
>The frog car is only about the size of the average bedroom
First of all - toad
Second of all - NIGGA THAT SHIT WAS LIKE 40 FEET ACROSS, WHAT KINDA POSH ASS BEDROOMS HAVE YOU BEEN SLEEPING IN??
>Glad-One: It will be a surprise user
>Sad-One: Just like the agony of the life and the happiness of the death itself
>Glad-One: We hope you find it interesting
>Sad-One: It would be best if you do not have high expectations though, that is the secret of happiness after all
>The frog car is only about the size of the average bedroom
While it's definitely larger than the average bedroom, he does have a point that it is much smaller inside than the car itself would seem to be.
well the whole objective of the car is to kick a toad I don't think you need a lot of space for that
The train is supposed to do that yes, and on the surface it appears to
But it doesnt really. The revelation of season 1 is that the train really is just a machine. It's a computer running programs until something sticks, but its ultimately up to the passenger to choose what they end up doing and what they take away from every car.
Now that we've seen the man behind the curtain, the train can't be a wizard anymore. We know it's not subtly leading people toward their predetermined destiny. That's where Lake comes in.
Lake is kinda like Buzz in Toy Story. He doesnt want to believe he's a toy, but in the end he accepts his destiny and is the better for it. If IT was a Pixar movie, it would end with One-One convincing Lake that her destiny is to help passengers, and that she'll make new friends after Jesse leaves. That didnt happen, because is just a machine, and nothing it says matters, and Lake gets what she wanted.
Anyway this got really ranty and autistic but I hope I got my point across.
post lake
The point is more the fact that the car does seem to manipulate the space within itself to suit this purpose.
>Anyway this got really ranty and autistic but I hope I got my point across.
Are you talking about Lake or the infinity train in general?
