You know this could have even been a wonderful contrast to MeatJade saying she didn't have to be obsessed with Dave in every timeline with CandyJade being horrifically torn up. AltCalliope's real realm of control is Candy, in a world where she knows Jade through persnickety perseverance managed to finally husband Dave. AltCallie also knows Dave abandoned her for the glories of ''canon'' while this truth to Jade is the absolute unknown. She doesn't know anything that happened to him and they're at war with fucking Jane! This would be horrific, especially when she seeks not being alone and being around the people she loves.
