I hate fandom gurus so fucking much. Whenever I see a live reaction from them you can see they're not processing the show as normal people, they're processing it like robots who got their theories right (even if they don't and reformulate it to accommodate the current canon and retroactively be right).
And they react to everything by screeching anyway, even if it wouldn't make sense for a normal people to do that given the context of the narrative. They just scream at everything. I think a mandatory quality for those people is to be mentally ill and inside the spectrum.

I only really care about AwestruckVox; the others I could do without. I think Vox is pretty cool and I admire his role as one of mainstream animation's biggest hypemen. His recap of the first half of Steven Universe Future was very much appreciated once the series started finishing its run in early March.

But I fucking hate how he only ever focuses on lore-heavy cartoons and doesn't even acknowledge episodic comedy cartoons. Great shows like It's Pony, Mao Mao, or Craig of the Creek seem almost nonexistent to this guy and it pisses me off. I also roll my eyes every time a THEORY or TRAILER ANALYSIS video of his pops up (which is 80% of the time). Vox's exaggerated hype surrounding SU is a good example of how that show's fandom always overhyped every single thing. I still laugh at the extensive research they conducted, trying to prove Steven was 17 when the reality of it all was a board revisionist making a simple chronology mistake that went all the way through production.

Dude's all right, but he should stop putting serialized shows on a pedestal as if comedy cartoons are of a lesser genre. Star vs isn't nearly as great as he claims. The Owl House is okay at best, but he insists that it's AMAZING since he knows it'll be his ticket to maintaining his large following after SU ended.

Also, I don't get why you guys are obsessed with that Make-A-Wish slip-up a while back. People make mistakes, and I'm sure it was due to a misunderstanding on his part; it's possible that Vox at first didn't know the kid was given permission to talk about the episodes.
