I mean it in the sense that the Mickey and friends characters are really cartoony and should be written as such. It doesn't lend itself to be written like Gravity Falls (also bad) or an adventure anime. The 3 Caballeros understands what it is and is a lot more enjoyable because of it.

Star vs. The Forces of Evil should be on the list. It was kinda cute early on but went full throttle on the fantasy racism (and without even being interesting about it, being just"Mewmans are the White Man in America with elements of Crusades Monsters are Injuns"). It ending with the heroine commiting genocide for social justice speaks enough on the show.

It's telling no one can say how the show is good without bringing up muh shipping or representation. What with the bland to bad villains besides Roman (way more fun than Cinder), wandering around episodes there to stall time, poorly written furry racism, protag centric morality etc.

I used to think Cinder was the worst but she teamed up with neo and at least has some sort of goal now. Salem is now the worst because she's too invincible to be taken seriously. I dislike Neo now because she's just too competent. She shouldn't have come out of that last fight with three huntsmen without even just a slight scratch.

Cinder is just as unremarkable (a poor VA, a forced rivalry with Ruby) as before. They should have just had Yang's mom kill her so she'd suffer the proper consequences for her actions.

She has a backstory giving her a poorly told fall into darkness and goals being such that it's an open question what stopped her from doing it mostly herself all this time. Villains like Aku and Sauron have obvious weaknesses combined with enemies thet can seriously threaten them. Salem has neither even with Ruby's magic eyes.

It doesn't help that the only way RWBY's latest actions can be warranted is if they had evidence that Salem can be killed by them in conventional battle.

Salem suffers from the writers wanting to make something out of nothing. She's so impossibly powerful and unkillable that she could simply click her fingers and have everyone instantly rule the entire world. Skulking around in secret absolutely does nothing to make her look more dangerous.
