The " game" had brought back several X-Men characters and added a few new ones like Magik. And the Capcom brought back villains like Bison and Wesker and added new characters of their own like Nero.

Oh yeah they brought back the original themes of the Marvel characters all the way back to X-Men Children Of The Atom.

I really pray corona cancelling EVO doesnt make capcom cancel or delay the supposed new capcom vs game they are supposedly planning out.
Also, hope a new rerelease of MvC2 for PC and the new consoles is a possibility, im really not sure that Dreamcast or NAOMI emulation is 100% perfect.
A few years back I had imagined Karin was in a MvC title and her ending was her buying out Oscorp, Stane International, Alchemax, and Roxxon as well what was left of old Umbrella.

Ike only controlled the roster, capcom outsourcing the models and going for a cinematic design approach was all capcom, I am glad mvci didn't use ameterasu or joe because picture them in that shitty pseudo realistic art style.
I worry about the future with the RE engine though they may push it and I don't think characters like mega man would look good in it
RE Engine is a graphics engine, not an art style.
they can only do photo realism with it, they said as much when Ono said SF would not work well with it

Both Capcom and Ike were the ones who pushed for the roster and MCU like characters. I was surprised Nova and Ghost Rider got in but I guess they had to reuse some models.
Ike might be gone from making creative decision but Feige is at the helm now and I don't doubt he'll try to make everything to reflect the MCU since that's what he gives a shit about the most.

MM has so many flavors, there is no reason X & Zero had to be from the same series if Sigma had to be the boss.

exactly if they wanted to include X then sorry but we don't need zero. In a crazy crossover fighter why would I want to see the same rehashed plot of zero x and sigma. Zero fighting classic as he was programmed to destroy him before teaming up to fight Tron bonne is a lot more interesting then X and Zero teaming up to fight sigma again

the problem is that since this years EVO, a MvC themed one mind you, is cancelled, this could easily give capcom a chance to heavily delay the project, change it or downright cancel it.

The only real and valid reason we got X finally was because of teh slap in teh face fiasco that was the release of the X skin for Zero, in other words, like most of Shitfinite,it was just taking advantage of re-used assets.
