Cartoons were a mistake. Once it became clear America would never accept animation except "it's made for kids" it should have been closed down rather than what we have now where they infantilize adults instead.

John K. was right in all his rants and ravings about the degradation of cartooning in America. In fact, he was so right, that John K. should've listened to John K. because his own art devolved into a fucking unfunny eyesore.

>John K was right about.....
Absolutely disgusting

>He thinks modern cartoons look good

And then he proceeded to never produce anything of worth. How ironic.

Krillin

The "dynamically staged" ones all look like they're from a cartoon aimed at 5-year olds. Which isn't necessarily bad, but you can't expect that to hold for any style.

>all look like they're from a cartoon aimed at 5-year olds.
As opposed to highly mature cartoons like Ducktales and Summer Camp Island.

It's not saying to mimic the way he draws the characters but the way he stages the characters, you dunce.

mimesis was a mistake

No one of those is like the other

Post one cartoon John K has created that was good.

Yes, juvenile gross-out humor and screaming heads with popping eyeballs. Truly the savior of animation.

Right, modern cartoons aren't like that at all.

youthism and the desire to erase history and pretend nothing can "age well" because "it's current year" was the mistake.

Who the fuck cares about modern cartoons?

>I DENY EVERYTHING SO YOU ARE WRONG
This sort faith based of power trips create terrorists really quickly.

He's wrong about Hollywood movie writing and acting and cinematography, but he's write about art school.

Cans without labels

Those aren't in the slightiest the same poses but bad

based

>pose
so you didn't even understand the picture you were raging about like an wild animal? Wtf.

Now give us actual examples of old cartoons looking like such examples on the left.

>He's wrong about Hollywood movie writing and acting and cinematography,
No he's completely right. Why else does Hollywood keep remaking the same movies from the past

Reaction face meme culture has really ruined cartoons hasn't it

Instead of artists thinking "this is an appropriate face for this joke" now they think "my followers on twitter and tumblr are going to eat this wacky face UP!"

ESL here
Is that correct grammar? Shouldn't it be "lots of people who can't draw make cartoons"?

>Reaction face meme culture has really ruined cartoons hasn't it
It's just the modern rendition of "tracing model sheets".

Why?
