Use the catalog, fag.

it certainly would've made for a more interesting story, that's for certain.
steven would likely have fallen into an even deeper pit of despair, unable to forgive himself. at that point, not even the gems would've been able to save him. nobody would've been able to.

He'd have to turn himself in and go to prison.

A funeral episode in which Greg tries to cheer Steven up with rich foods.

gems aren't considered proper citizens of the states due to not being "born". thusly, there is no way steven could actually be prosecuted for shattering someone.

The gem he shattered was "born" in the US but yeah...his family, friends and Diamonds would absolutely not want to hold him accountable for it

Love the self-harm in the picture. Definitely what I would have done in that case, except I would have bitten.

I don't think citizenship is a factor in any reasonable facsimile of the US court system.

Anyone else find it weird that a PTSD portrayal was killing somebody and showing murderous tendencies to others before finally turning into a literal monster?

Nothing would've changed. Which is why bringing her back was just stupid.

Jasper was born thousands of years before the United States was a nation. Unless the Gems are acknowledge as indigenous peoples and got good federal inclusive reforms in the post 1800s: it's unlikely that there would be any force to laws for police or marshals to enforce.

>Nothing would've changed.
The whole finale would have changed. He wouldn't go to HW, he'd break down then and there. "Everythings Fine" wouldn't happen either, I doubt they'd let him get away with murder either

if nothing changed and everything still ended with everyone hugging it out while ignoring the fact that he murdered jasper that would have just made the finale even more retarded

But it's literally how she wanted to die. She said so in her first appearance.

Would've been a better set-up for the finale overall. Probably the only way the series would've been saved would be if Steven realizes that the Diamonds have been mass-murdering for millennia like that and he already feels so guilty so how they be forgiven so easily? I really hate the "oh okay you did something evil, but you were sad once, so it's all okay :)"

The Crystal gems would have ignored him crying until the running faucet started to flood the bathroom. Then they'd've called Lapis to deal with the water problem. Then gone to the beach after a few choruses of Steven, obviously in emotional turmoil: saying "I'm Fine" in progressively strained ways. Then Steven would get a chance to ask Lapis for advice and she'd say she always tried to "get distance from her problems". And either that or desperation would drive him to homeworld.

No. The Neglectful Moms wouldn't have stopped him. Even if they wanted to: they'd've let him barrel past them onto the teleporter and he just would have had a pocket, or preferably an upturned shirt hem full of Jasper shards and just begged the Diamonds to help fix her.

Wait actually there would be another change. Yellow would not specifically be shown to be fixing shattered gems if Jasper wouldn't have gotten revived then, because the episode doesn't have the pace for a scene of credible attempts and failures.

she didn't want to die, she wanted a purpose, and her devoting herself to her murderer because it's the only thing that makes her feel like she's worth something shouldn't be hand waved like it's fine or healthy when it was treated as a serious issue with pearl and volleyball

>Clocktower II
Excellent taste, sir

Especially the quote in Volleyball:
>But she didn’t mean to
>But you were still hurt

>Only 1 active SU thread
What the fuck?

>What would have happened if Steven couldn’t bring Jasper back to life?
Then Yellow would, it was confirmed she had that power literally the next episode.

if we're complaing about gems not getting screentime, obligatory

I don't know how to feel about her, on one hand I feel sad that she never appeared again, on the other I never really cared for her much and find her to be overrated for not having much of a character, still better than shitty Emerald

The sequence of her explaining what happened during the "flash" was one of the best scenes in the whole story. You call her overrated but every one of her scenes was not only memorable, it was important.

What if Steven met the Gem creator?

honestly i find jasper severely overrated, but i still agree she needed more screentime also. how many episodes about shitty walking plants do we even need

I literally can't remember any of her scenes except that flash

I LOVE CHAPS
YOU LOVE CHAPS

I don't get the Crewniverse at times, they said they'd tie up loose ends but just introduced new shit while not tying up many loose ends at all. Plus that antagonist screen was shitty too, Bluebird and the Lapises never appeared again, everything on there only had 1 episode except Jasper who had a few

We'll if it's still working as a childrens show it probably goes about the same and then in the final episode they figure out how to bring jasper back, but I thought that if something like this happened there would be an entire diamond assault. Steven will probably keep comparing himself to his mother saying he is "just like her". He goes to homeworld desperately looking for help but that doesnt work at all.

He returns home scarred and alone until he chooses to believe that if trying to make everyones life better has only made his life worse he might as well stop running from his diamond heritage and embrace it. I think it would be pretty based if he uses his diamond powers to force gems to join his side and acctivate a bunch of incubators maybe even awaken the cluster.

Then it goes into a full scale battle with a diamond Steven until eventually the gems, connie, and Greg are able to reach out to him. Also as long as I'm rewriting the ending the diamonds shouldnt be reformed they should be putting up an act too get closer to Steven which seemed to be what the movie was building up to. So in the final scene they can actually focus their attack on the real villians of the series.

honestly i think the crew is just godawful at serial storytelling. the movie was great, and that's probably because they had to wrap up everything they introduced in it before the credits.

you must be retarded to think that you wouldn't be judged for crime just because the person you killed doesn't belong to any government. The only time it MAY be argued that Steven wouldn't be prosecuted, if the murder happened in space. But he killed her on american ground.

>>steven freaks out and grows a horn
>>gems ask what's going on
>>steven tells them he's fine and just needs a minute as he turns to look at himself in the mirror
>>touches the horn, growing horror and desperation on his face. tries to push it back in, it won't budge
>>bang bang bang Steven!
>>pink shout 'i'm fine'
>>fucks up the bathroom, cracks in the door, mirror, bathtub.
>>shot showing the destruction with steven center frame still holding jasper and he looks around at the destruction. He grabs his head
>>shot by the door through a crack just large enough to see a glimpse of pink steven
>>gems call for him, but this time he just walks over to the bathtub and sits inside it
>>they bust down the door and rush to him
>>he's in a state of shock, holding at his head
>>they try talking to him, he doesn't say much but seems kinda receptive
>>he ends up blurting out everything he's done in a hateful rant, before he hits a 'monster' line and starts transforming big time
>>the gems freak trying to calm him but they're in danger too
>>he destroys the house
>>kills ronaldo
>>a hug out without the stupid pity party

it's not even that good, but given what the show has and given what we got, it's better. the finalization of her death should have been the final straw for him, without the wishywashy shit at ~Little Homeschool~

He would dab, no joke he would dab so hard. He would dab so fucking hard the stratosphere will break. He will dab so fucking hard bros.

That begs the question do gems have rights in America or hell on earth? Like as far as we can tell the governnent doesnt know gems exist and any court of law can probably lable Jasper as an inorganic lifeform they're basically geological robots you can't get arrested for killing a robot.

Like mother like son.

wouldn't it be easier to just have her gem be severely cracked and on the verge of shattering until he puts it in the bath instead of going "happily ever after...for everyone except jasper lol"

Monster Steven but world shattering and can't be calmed down

technically it's their planet and humans just live on it, they're on the currency and everything
