Okay, so with the next episode including a harp... is this going to be the harp from the original Ducktales who could tell when you lied?

Men dumb. Women smart.
Cooper Bell
Dewey has a pretty singing voice. He's just there to sit still and look pretty! unfair!
Isaac Foster
Seems likely, could see Louie attempting to use it on them to see if they're indeed hiding something. Also, hey, two Louie episodes back to back! (even if the latter promises to be more of a Caballeros/Daisy affair)
Julian Jones
Place your bets, is the Daisy episode gonna end with her being even slightly smitten with Don, or will she gradually develop feelings for him over the course of the season?
Kevin Moore
>Dewey must embrace his inner heel to beat beloved Viking wrestling champ Jormungandr.
Hah! Good luck. Thor tried that once and the world was almost detroyed. Will he be disguised as a cat, I wonder?
Jack Hill

So did the Rescue Rangers cameo in this episode serve any purpose at all besides "'member dis? I 'memba."
I mean, Goofy at least served a purpose. This didn't serve any purpose out of context.

For what? A finale cameo?
The "rescue" pun didn't reach any kids because I hardly believe kids watched the old show. They need to stop pandering to older people with this show.
Jaxson Gutierrez
Bet ya anything they're gonna have their own episode down the line, introducing them here will kick off things faster next time.
Carter Lee
Have you thought kids might be intrigued as to where these come from and look into the source material? Much like how kids are finding out about Carl Barks, Don Rosa and the likes thanks to this show?
Charles Anderson
Yeah there are some on tumblr who are looking at clippings from Barks and other duck comics and it's probably because of this show.
Anthony Barnes
my kid had no idea what was up with that and got super psyched about it
Christian Davis
You mean your wife's kid
Gabriel Watson
Yeah, the characters are inherently appealing to kids regardless if they saw the original or not. Group of cute critters having their own miniature adventures. What's not to like?
Hudson Sanchez
Glad to now 00 is living in his psyche, one day he may emerge and warn the others

Okay so real talk:
Do you think we'll be getting a full Rescue Rangers-centric episode later on down the line? As cute as this cameo was, it did kind of felt like setup. They show us how they came to be or establish how they exist in this new universe and then later on they give them a proper appearance. In a way it's similar to how they established Darkwing in this reboot. I feel like later in the season we may get a proper episode centered on them.
Pandering IS required with this show, because that's the only way it gets attention to make up for its at times disappointing content Everyone knows Caballeros is the better show, but it doesn't get as much attention for two reasons. One of course is Disney not promoting it and trying to bury it. But a huge reason is Ducktales tries substanceless bait that's shallow but makes people discuss the show, while Cabs focuses more on just making a quality product. Literally the last two weeks have been >Look we put in gay dads >Look we cameo'd that 80s show you liked >Look we cameo'd that 90s show you liked Because of this no one takes the time to realize the show's faults, how dated it's going to be, really any critical oversight of Ducktales outside thinking it's god tier because Goofy is in it. But once you go a few years out and remove the in the moment effect I think you'll see people realize the show has faults and that the animation community and Disney not backing the other show was a huge misstep. Because even with the bait now Ducktales wasn't holding its end of the bargain regarding toys and tv ratings
Caleb Mitchell
High Command smarter.
Camden Garcia
OMG they somehow made Gadget cuter
Brayden Edwards
It was shameless nostalgia fodder just like Max's and Roxanne's appearance, they don't plan to do anything with the Rescue Rangers. I thought Yas Forums was smarter than this.
Carson Phillips
I think they'll show up for the finale or maybe somewhere else behind the scenes, but I think given they said they had to sneak them in with renamed characters in the script that they aren't getting a major episode
Hudson Reyes
Don't go crazy just because you don't like a show, man
I don't see it as pandering so much as callbacks to nostalgia. They're not doing it to goose ratings. They're doing it because they can. Stop seeing conspiracies where there are none.
And I really do not get all the love some people have for Legend of the Three Caballeros. It was OK. It wasn't the last word in anthro adventure animation.
Angel Ortiz
Really surprised more people aren't talking about this.
Not gonna lie, I don't know if I want them heavily involved beyond an easter egg. I loved Chip and Dale, but there are already so many characters that haven't had enough development or screen time. We need more Darkwing and Gizmo.
Wyatt Miller
Are you implying that a show can't be enjoyed if it'll eventually be dated? You're allowed to enjoy something right now.
Also if it bothers you that its pandering forces discussion of the show, stop discussing it. If that's truly their plan, you're taking their bait.
Andrew Cox
Improbable, I think they just want made a reference to another show.
No, please no. You thought there was backlash with Thundercats? This will be hell on earth.
Levi Ward
Yeah but what if Keith David still voices Goliath?
Julian Gutierrez
I'm allowed to call it out If I didn't like parts of this show I wouldn't be discussing in these threads. I think the show can and should stand on its own merit though
Caleb Perez
We are pretty much guaranteed a whole episode on them. Also they have to know that everyone and their dog wants them to meet up with Donald for a flair of old school antics. Like hell they'd pass up the chance.
On one hand I sympathize with the staff because they don't know when they're gonna be cancelled and they'd rather include as many characters while they can, but on the other hand this does lead to the cast not allowing as much breathing room as it could have.
If it was up to you, co, how long would you have waited to introduce certain characters? Would you have made it so S1 was mostly just the core? I do think stuff like the Tailspin episode was pretty hurried up for a S1 episode.
William Butler
