Yas Forums have ruined Glitch Techs for me

I dropped off at about five minutes after "gamersgamgersgamgers" and "look how racially correct we are!"

I've been meaning to watched more of it (if only because the next scene introduces Miko and her booty) but I haven't gotten around to it.

I don't know if it gets better in later episodes, but everything in the first one felt like a parody of a parody of a shitty comic about modern "gamers" who only play the latest FotM game and mobile shit.

Its based of the "tortanic mentality" that Yas Forums has. TORtanic was an easily predicted disaster even before it came out, and people knew it and shitposted it, then it comes out and its a disaster, these people enjoy the rush of being correct and feel they had a hand in its ruin. Addicted to this negative mentality, they begin to shitpost any new release no matter what, and it becomes old and stale as many new releases turn out to be just fine. The image applies a similar thing here, anyone who followed Owl House's production knew it was going to flop, and it did, but users like those ones above tried the same thing with Glitch Techs only for it to fly right by them even as they keep doubling down.

I liked Kipo tho. GT is just garbage that people like just for the porn and your image stolen from Yas Forums won't change it.

Most of the references in the show are older games, mainly 16 and 32 bit era games. Even the first episode was more like UT crossed with Ricochet than any recent game despite the VR. I dont think the target audience would even recognize most of them, like the Banjo Kazooie theme playing.

I like them all just fine.
If anything Kipo has the most uneven writing, despite its abundance of creativity and style.

It's just so boring, it has some interesting ideas but somehow makes so boring, at least if it was terrible I could enjoy it for the cringe but it's not even that.

Its not even terrible, just painfully mediocre in a waay that makes you better appreciate most other family cartoons like Glitch Techs or Amphibia. The characters are funny, especially Eda and that cutie Luz, but the show doesnt know how to use them and keeps on splitting up the main characters into A and B plots instead of exploiting their dynamic.

Its one of the rare examples of a show that would be better with 11 minute episodes instead of 22 minute ones that force them to make two plots to fill time.
