Gold Leaf and Alice wanted another child, but Gold Leaf was worried about Alice’s health. To solve the problem, GL built an artificial womb to have the child, but it ended up getting stolen by Doughnut/Stainless Steel
Gold wanted her as a trophy, but Doughnut decided to keep her instead, and named her Sparky because he had no knowledge of Earth names other than dog names

Basically, Stella has an estranged little sister who was raised by the space mafia

Yes, I agree that her hair should be black, very straight and about shoulder-length, if not longer, given how Stella is a blondie that wears hers short and curly.
Visually opposing hairstyles are a great piece of character design where it comes to sibling rivals or rivals in general (Dante and Vergil, Travis and Henry, etc.)

There was an idea of naming her Pyrite, due to her being a "fake gold", but no one suggested anything other than this and "Sparky" since.

I agree. I also think that she should wear a bit more of a stylish outfit as a result of Doughnut Steel’s parenting. Also, having her wear a more girly/stylish outfit would likely add a bit more of a contrast between her and Stella

Stefanie would probably think she's cool and look up to her like a big sister. Stefanie is a good kid, curious and tech savy, sassy. Always asking questions. She was born with high levels of copper in her body that would have crushed her organs as she grew and eventually killed her if her dad hadn't given her his core and died in the process. She has some access to his memories through the core but it's limited and she can't consciously control it.

dang that's a lot of threads. Lot to sift through. It is funny the similarities I swear to god I didn't know this was a thing when I made Stefanie XD It started as like a sort of AU thing my friend and I were playing with (my friend hates SU) and then we took it to Yas Forums and people played around with it some more then I considered making it an actual thing and my friend complained that I never commit to any of my projects so I went and made it just to prove a point. Now I'm fully committed to it because I am stubborn and actually having fun with the story. Given it's collaborative nature, this AU is pretty ridiculous in lots of aspects, but it's also kind of the point.
We just toss ideas around and see what sticks to be built upon further.
