SU's ending has created a powervoid, and most CalArts graduates were kissing Rebecca Sugar's ass in order to try and fill the gap with their pet projects. They feel entitled to it, and they are already fighting each other for it.
The fact that someone who didn't kiss Rebecca Sugar's ass is taking any amount of spotlight terrifies them, because I suspect everyone at corporate realizes that the culture surrounding her is both incompetent and insufferable. And they are rightfully concerned that there are efforts to replace them.

The writing's on the wall. The dream is collapsing. And this is just the start of the fallout. I think we're going to see something beautiful come out of this within the next few months.
