>tfw I actually enjoyed the last few episodes of Thundercats Roar
You lost me outrage bros.
Tfw I actually enjoyed the last few episodes of Thundercats Roar
I'm right there with ya, brother. Good luck having a ThunderCats Roar thread that lasts more than 20 replies, though.
Based and chetaara pilled
And I also I read that in her voice.
Her voice is so fucking cute
Which one's your favorite, user?
Tigra, not even kidding.
Been meaning to watch it after seeing a couple of clips. On a scale of 1 - 10 how baby shit is it exactly? Is it a fun cartoon for anyone who watches it or very obviously aimed at young children and only young children? (or both)
It looks more enjoyable than I expected.
Oop. I meant, "Which EPISODE'S your favorite?" My favorite ThunderCat is a tie between Tygra and Panthro
I really liked the animation in the first two episodes. Tygra being more supportive than cocky is pretty refreshing compared to all the outrage from the 2011 series. Cheetara is basically Enid, which is good. No more waifubait for Liono.
Its hard to say. I really enjoyed the episode where Lion O loses his sword, but the cheetara one, Panthro's ep and the latest one are also pretty fun and the animation has been a lot better too. Post episode 7 is when you see it improving.
Loved the reference to Infinity Wars. If someone has a webm of that scene I would be very appreciated.
This looks pretty good actually
It's definitely juvenile (Lion-O's dopey dialogue and personality make that clear), but I appreciate that the crew just has fun with the material they're given. The action is neat, and there are some genuinely funny moments every now and then.
It's def worth a try.
Tigra is actually pretty cute.
No need to kid.
you just described the mentality of TTG fans
now i know for sure i'll hate this show
It's bad for what it represents more than for what it is.
Yas Forums will never admit the action scenes are well storyboarded and kino as fuck.
Pfft, you do you, man. Like with TTG!, once you put aside your unnecessary hatred for a reboot taking a different approach from its source material, you can come to appreciate the comedy and action that come from this reincarnation.
Teen Titans Go! is unironically a pretty solid comedy cartoon. There's a handful of questionable (see: fetishistic) episodes in the mix, but I find myself enjoying it most of the time. ThunderCats Roar is a little weaker, but it still has tons of charm.
>well storyboarded
>"huuurrhggg just make it like Superjail with less going on in the background!!!"
fucking zoomer
i keep forgetting you're stuck at home at your computer right now
ikr
Stay bitter, boomer.
God, she's so fucking hot
thunderbump
>assuming user is a boomer
I don't get why couldn't they use the animation for a completely new IP
I love whenever her fangs appear
user you weren't even born when the original was airing
Maybe the Cartoon Network higher-ups were fans of Victor Courtright's shorts but felt that the premise couldn't really stand on its own legs? A reboot of a popular franchise done in his signature style was their next course of action it seems.
I kind of expected that after seeing the first teaser, but wasn't so sure about the writing. Sounds like it's not bad. Not interested myself, but good for the cast if the kids like it.
Some of the animation I've seen online is legit good but I just can't get past the artstyle.
No one here is being honest.
is there a 1080p hd logoless amazon rip mega? I asked last thread and was given the CN website rips (with the logo in the lower right corner) instead
I think CN or WB went "okay let's reboot thundercats again as a goofy modern show, who wants to do it" with Victor signing up. Aka the chicken and the egg are reversed from the premise behind the "why doesn't the crew just make their own show" question
Yeah, the goofy, doodley character designs take some getting used to, but I think the fun animation and over-the-top camera angles make it all worth it.
they need the dopamine rush you get from (you)s
being a contrarian is the best way to get that high they so desperately seek
You fellas do realize it's possible for people to genuinely like something you don't, right?
Going by writers on the show:
>Victor Courtright
Exodus (teleplay only; story by Joan Ford)
The Legend of Boggy Ben
Prank Call (story only; teleplay by Marly Halpern-Graser)
Lost Sword
>Marly Halpern-Graser (co-developed the show, serves as a producer)
Prank Call (teleplay; story by Victor Courtright)
>Joan Ford (seems to be the main writer?)
story for nearly every single episode (except for Boggy Ben, Prank Call, and Lost Sword)
Working Grrrl (only ep so far where she also wrote the teleplay)
>note for all below writers, their eps had their stories written by Joan Ford
>Bryan Condon
Driller
Study Time
>Ben Crouse
Secret of the Unicorn
>Lesley Tsina
Panthro Plagiarized!
Mumm-Ra, the Ever-Living
>Molly Knox Ostertag
Warrior Maiden Invasion
>Eric Knobel
The Horror of Hook Mountain
>Ben Joseph
ThunderSlobs
>Cait Raft
Mandora -- The Evil Chaser
>Justin Becker
Dr. Dometome
you're pic give away you're obvious bait, but I'm feeling generous.
I just find it funny that you guys are so triggered by a harmless goofy reboot with some actual merit of its own. If you hate the show so much, just ignore it.
>mocking a shit thing = triggered
ya pic related triggered Yas Forums, that's why they storytime it every october
Anyway bait's too obvious so i'ma head out, hope you get that dopamine rush
Pretty cute? He's VERY cute
*ThunderCats Roar
I don't give a fuck about thundercats in fact i find the whole franchise shit
you know it seems like Roar's simultaneously getting less hate and more hate than PPG 2016 did
it's getting less hate in that there's actually plenty of people who like it (which makes sense, as, while a really low bar to clear, Roar is better than PPG 2016). In contrast even industry professionals didn't actually bother speaking out about PPG 2016's hate.
meanwhile the hate Roar is getting seems to have an extra layer of vitrol that PPG 2016 didn't get. Maybe it's because some people actually liking roar has given the opposition something to fight against (especially with actual industry professionals involved). Maybe it's because it's managed to hit more of people's buttons than PPG 2016 (Roar being a somewhat different genre than the original, vs PPG 2016 being the same genre as the original, just shittier)
All those letters are capital
You're absolutely right.
Another reason why ThunderCats Roar might seem more controversial than NuPPG is because while it's visually unique and impressive, on the surface it looks like the ultimate combination of every modern design trend most "animation fans" detest: bean mouth, blobby bodies, inconsistent proportions for comedic effect, you name it.
Those subtle touches are the best
Always such a treat to see
shit taste desu
no u
Then you should kill yourself at your earliest convenience. :)
and here's eps by directors/storyboard teams
Haha I love SpongeBob
Thanks for organizing this, man. I think Jeremy Polgar’s team is my favorite so far, with George Kaprielian’s not far behind.
I will one day.
But that day isn't today
The power levels were whack in this episode.
The vulture dude held off pretty well.
This is your daily reminder that everyone who worked on this show and has a Twitter account now has “former TCR storyboarder” in their bio page and the showrunner had privated their Twitter account.
This shit’s deader than SU, it’s just getting the PPG 2016 until this one season is done with.
Do you know the feeling seeing a show almost feel like a choir to do?, Well this is actually worse, and even the target demographic feels like that. Maybe if you never have seen anything good, but even free videos on youtube have better story, animation, jokes and voice acting.
This makes me sad to to see how much we cheat the newer generation, they are told this is entertainment for them, and they know it's bad and worthless if they have ever seen anime or older shows like Avatar the Last Airbender. I feel like a species we might have peeked and now it feels like we in the west no longer can make shows, without them looking cheese and cheap. It's insulting to the next generation that this is what they get to see.
