What do you guys think about Costume Quest?
What do you guys think about Costume Quest?
It should have been as well received as Glitch Techs, but Yas Forums did not watch it for being on Amazon Prime.
Yeah, I've noticed. I don't understand why Amazon is streaming the Invincible adaptation. It'll be doomed to obscurity even if it's good.
Better than Star VS and I would argue SU too.
>Better than Star VS
That's a low bar to clear, though.
it fucking sucks
Fun, charming show. But not a whole lot to talk about. Pretty much is what it is.
Makes me wish Double Fine would put out a Psychonauts cartoon.
t. didn't even watch it
Pretty much my thought and yes, I'm surprised we haven't seen a Psychonauts animated series. The art style, voice cast, and humor are all perfect for it. It could even help promote the sequel.
Pretty much - Amazon Prime's customer base is probably too rich and self-righteous to bother ripping it for pirates.
They made a show based on this game?
Yes. It was in the works a while back, but it came out last year. A single season split in two and a Christmas special.
It was produced by Frederator, which also adapted Castlevania for Netflix.
Reynold is the best character.
I liked all the kids. They felt authentic and just hyper enough without it being annoying. Being voiced by actual kids helped.
My favorite character was Norm.
loved it
It did a great job adapting the games while creating a more coherent setting. I liked the kids well enough and the costumes felt well integrated into the story. The character designs aren't as appealing as the game's, but they're not bad either.
Getting a little tired of the strong brave reckless girl and wimpy pussy boy trend, other than that is was alright. Better than Star vs season 3-4 and all of Steven Universe
My favorite character is Reynold.
The mega is out there, next mega thread I’ll put it up if not already requested. I got a good program to rip shows off streaming sites and I need to go through amazon to see what they have.
That would be appreciated, thank you.
Honestly wasn't a fan. It wasn't like BAD but it was just kind of fine. I watched the first half and really had no desire to watch any more.
I liked him as well. His story with Scout got surprisingly heavy, though. Kind of a weird way to end it. I wonder if she died inside Bob's stomach.
While nothing amazing, still a enjoyable enough little show. Always appreciate a cartoon with story and continuity.
Keep forgetting that it also has a Holiday special.
Literally got ripped the first day.
What you actually meant was "no one spoon fed me a link!!"
>It was produced by Frederator, which also adapted Castlevania for Netflix.
Uh-oh!
Eh?
Castlevania was shit and S3 killed most of the fans it earned.
>retal4
of course
didn't you use to get super butthurt trying to tell people here how much of a pedo you're not?
Not that I recall.
For a kids show is okay, I guess, but for me it wasn't interesting enough. The background art is pretty good.
There are decent quality rips on kimcartoon tho.
What do you guys think about the original graphic novel by Zac Gorman?
at least you're admitting it now, pedo-boy
>I got a good program to rip shows off streaming sites
Could you please tell me what is the name of that program? I've been looking for a way to rip off from sites like Netflix but haven't found anything practical honestly.
>pedo-boy
Isn't that an oxymoron?
Psychonauts by Studio Laika has been on my long-term never-going-to-happen wishlist.
Is that sans?
It's actually good. They have to actually rely on storytelling and writing since they can't just fill up scenes with cheap violence, swears, and sex scenes.
I dunno, but I should get around to it.
>Keep forgetting that it also has a Holiday special.
It was kinda cute, but I'm a bit annoyed they didn't address stuff from the finale. Did the kids keep the protag's secret? Will they do anything with Lucy's mom knowing their secret? What happened to Scout?
Fun, nice atmosphere, would have been pretty popular if it had been on almost any other network/streaming service.
I'm not ride-or-die "YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS" about it though because I don't think it accomplished anything to warrant that kind of enthusiasm, it's more like if you enjoy stuff like Gravity Falls it's a solid pick for wasting some time
>if it had been on almost any other network/streaming service.
It would have got even less with Hulu.
Hulu actually has a few popular shows though, albeit not yet in the kids' or animation category (largely because it's owned by Disney and they're gearing most of that stuff up for Disney+ instead, minus a couple exceptions like the upcoming Animaniacs series).
Amazon has a wider international reach because Hulu isn't currently available outside of the US and Japan, but within the US Hulu absolutely has more active users than Prime Video
Are there downloads of the whole thing? Looks nice.
Here's all I could find.

Nothing on the holiday special, but it's on KimCartoon, so it's probably out there.
There was a holiday special? Aside from y'know, the main series taking place on Halloween
Yes. Heroes on Holiday. It takes place during Christmas, after season one.
Thanks, do you have an idea of what episode pic related is from?
Season 2 finale
gracias
de nada
>died
Wait what
Yeah. Scout was a tiny monster who was accidentally swallowed by Bob, the main villain. She expanded and is shown inside his stomach by the end of that episode, but then they never follow up on it.
Bob ended up becoming a kaiju-esque monster and she could've escaped from there, but again, we never find out what happened to her.
The boys did really well and got around normie mouths despite being on Amazon NiggeR SJW prime instead of FEMINISTFLIX or HUJEW
Not in shota doujins where they are both in the same age range.
I love the theme song
>filename
Indeed. I liked this, Niko, and the Kung Fu Panda series they've done, but they never get much discussion. I've been meaning to check out Undone as well.
Oh, I didn’t know DreamWorks made some TV series adaptations for Amazon. I thought all of those either went to Netflix or Nickelodeon.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single Undone thread here on Yas Forums...
There’ve been a few threads here and there, mostly back when Season 1 first premiered
They're expanding to other channels, even if Netflix still gets most of their shows. They have some slated up for Hulu and Peacock as well.
What is yer offer?
