This is one of the biggest flaws of the film that almost no one acknowledges. We're supposed to believe Billy is Shazam, but they behave (and look) nothing alike.

That's because the word helped bring out the good/optimism that was inside Billy. Whenever he's not in SHAZAM form, Billy has to deal with the harsh reality of his life, like his biological mother being a cunt. That's what Shazam is, an escape for Billy.
Although doing a film like this is tricky, especially for sequels. How the fuck do they expect to keep this up? Recast Billy?

The kid playing Billy doesn’t suck. There’s just a mismatch between how he plays him (troubled teen with a good heart) and how Levi plays him (excited 10yo in an adult’s body).
