There's nothing "new" about this shit, as most anons have already pointed out. This shit started in the early to mid 2000s, when autistic high school and middle school fangirls started basically ripping off Jhonen Vasquez's shit (Johnny the homicidal maniac, and Invader Zim).
This stupid edgy "demonic smile" shit is plastered all over cringy deviantart fanart from that era. It's sad to think those types actually get any level of exposure with their terrible copycat garbage.

Not a fan of either Vivzie or Fennah but I gave both series a fair shake.
Vivzie can occasionally design an interesting character despite all of their personalities being bland.
Fennah is worse - his characters are all edgelord, verbose Spawn rejects. Lucy Lacemaker legit looks like a rip-off of Chimera Synx.
Both of them sperg out if you tell them their dialogue has been out of date since 2009.
