It's not looking good. The upside is they own actually nothing. The licensed works can be licensed out to other companies when this is over, and the creator owned stuff is up to the creators to figure out how and if they want to proceed with their stuff.

Evidence to Locke and Key doing well? Everything I have read has said IDW is in massive trouble.

It got a second season order at the end of March, at least.

IDW is in deep shit as they've had two bad years and were planning on next year turning things around, but that was before Corona-chan rolled into town.

But at the same time, Locke and Key did do well enough to get another season at Netflix, but the other two IDW shows got shitcanned.

They theoretically can. But you have to ask, will the newly hired fan artist be willing to work for what IDW might be willing to pay them. One might expect a better paycheck from the official company than one get's doing commissions on deviantart.
