You forgot Trolls World Tour!
Everyone forgot Trolls World Tour. DreamWorks is nigh irrelevant these days.
Does Sonic really counts when they include legit people in it?
When only a handful of movies have been released this year, you've got to be creative with what counts in what category
>CGI/Live Action movie
>Onward
>Whatever the fuck Connected was
I dunno how the Academy Awards gets away with this shit. Is it that hard to just watch some goddamn cartoon movies and nominate them?
Why did they have to make them cutesy for fuck sakes
Why is that a problem for you?
Do you honestly think kids would want to see a movie where the characters look like pic related?
>Forgetting Soul
How come I don't see shit about it in this board? It honestly looks good, and iirc it's still coming out June.
... yes?
But critics hate Sonic
They thought it was serviceable.
[citation needed]
I remember the movie getting nothing but praise.
That's just a general rule of thumb
You f-forgo--*pfft*--forgot about one: youtube.com
I can never tell who’s Jimmy Fallon and who’s Jimmy Kimmel
Don't worry. Nobody else can, either.
We talked about Soul when each trailer dropped, but it does seem like most anons on Yas Forums aren't really keeping it on their mind.
I bet you 'Foxx' isn't even his real surname
Was La La Land even good, or was that all a meme?
I love Steven Universe, Peridot is one of my favourite characters
>Is it that hard to just watch some goddamn cartoon movies and nominate them?
This year? Yes.
Fallon's the one that looks like if Peter Pan aged, and Kimmel's the guy from The Man Show
If you made a movie about how the troll toys came into being. Starting with the original poor, starving craftsman making a doll for his daughter, so that she'd fit in, and ending with the trolls as this huge empire making tons of disposable troll figures.
You'd win all of the oscars.
Every fucking year!
lol true
Haha, I love Rugrats
Honestly, some people manage it, and all the other categories, inbetween their actual jobs.
It has a 64% on rt and a 47 on metacritic
good taste
Anything to stop a foreign movie from being in the running.
Ikr?
>tfw no michael bay directed stone protectors movie
Wow, I’m just now noticing the maple leaf-shaped lamppost
wow ur slow
You are aware many foreign movies have already been nominated many times and one of them once even won the whole enchilada, right?
You know Onward is gonna win, right?
They just ask what one of their niece like, like Frozen.
I just hope they stay away from Boglins
>People caring about Oscars or any award.
Theyre all bought with gift bribes and canvasing campaigns aimed at the judges
S-sorry...
i want to tell you guys the plot synopsis of this movie really bad. its the most obvious propaganda ive seen in any animated movie yet
No. Soul.
What animoo is coming out this year that can get a token nomination?
Do it please
Don’t tell us. Just link us with the MEGA.
>queen poppy finds out there are other races of trolls that listen to unique genres of music
>the troll races separated themselves because when they lived together nobody could agree on the music and the diversity caused nothing but problems
>the queen of the rock trolls is trying to conquer all the other races and dominate the earth
>it turns out that, hilariously, the pop trolls were to blame all along for the separation of the troll races because they were the white people of trolls.
>the pop trolls even subjugated the reggae (black people) trolls
>queen poppy goes on a reparations mission
>at the end they all become friends through the power of being nice and turn into one diverse ugly group of trolls that sing a (pop) song together
i don't have a MEGA.
No. Connected.
Oh god, the oscars from the next year are going to fucking stinks unless Netflix premieres something interesting this year.
Gotdamn, what’s with all the one-word movie titles all of a sudden?
makes them seem more serious than they actually are
>unless Netflix premieres something interesting this year
see:
this movie is the last time a cartoon flick had a good title
>Sonic the Hedgehog
Even though it's a film where over 80% of it is live action? You know Avatar and Tin Tin didn't get animation nominations despite having loads of animation because of the "live action/motion capture" rule right. Not that it matters because Soul will win.
Easier to market apparently
>Tin Tin
It's 'Tintin.' One word, user.
>all of a sudden
Hello, Mr. Van Winkle.
Why's it called 'Onward' anyway?
It's been a decades long trend stemming from the fact that boys are less likely to see a princess movie so they keep a one word title to market to a larger demographic.
Wouldn't a better title have been disconnected given the plot? Then they could have used that song in the trailer
because they go on a quest and you always say ONWARD when doing so
Which song?
>Put the car in "o" for Onward!
