ITT: Anons and Femanons Record Comics & Cartoon-related Material for myriad reasons
"Stayin' Alive" edition
EVERYBODY: Do Requests, read whatever is up here, or find things in the links to practice Post scripts, comic dialogue, panels, pages or text you would like to hear read. Post requests for things you want to read Give good, constructive feedback to those who ask for it. Ask for advice from VA's if they appear Give advice if you have it Have fun!
Most Importantly, BUMP THIS THREAD TO KEEP IT GOING!
To the femanon who recorded this, assuming you're lurking here: Original requester from last thread here, do you have the acapella standalone of your recording? I can try and do some editing in Audacity to make it sync better, otherwise it's pretty much perfect.
I don't get it, I left out the show after the first two seasons (got busy). Folks are saying Rose is a dick or whatever, but here they're still worshiping her?
What the fuck happened?

I love that accent, i can't say if it sounds genuine or not, but it's very entertainingly natural to me.
An unrelated question, if i were to request/commission VAs saying a minimum of 4 words, how much would it cost for each person on average?
Also if i had a 3D animation planned and looking for voices. Is it a good thing to do the animations first for the VAs to read their lines to (and then adjust the lip sync to match the VAs)? or is it better for VAs to read on script first?
I just wanna get ready for future projects, knowing Yas Forums has threads on VAs is exciting.
I mostly do it for fun or practice. But if it is to the borderline porn or nsfw. I probably consider something. But i don't know how to sell for VA.
Jackson Harris
As an amateur VA myself, i can say that while there are standard prices for VAs that can be utilized, not everything is set in stone. If you're doing a small project and have little to no budget, just open with that, interested parties will usually be willing to work with you

>An unrelated question, if i were to request/commission VAs saying a minimum of 4 words, how much would it cost for each person on average? What the other user said, it would differ so much as to make it difficult to find an average. >if i had a 3D animation planned and looking for voices. Is it a good thing to do the animations first for the VAs to read their lines to (and then adjust the lip sync to match the VAs)? or is it better for VAs to read on script first? What normally happens is that the animatics have been timed relatively in the 11/22/etc. minute timeslot and the VA's use the animatic to get the idea of how the voice should sound and how the line should be delivered (e.g. Talking to someone far away or chattering teeth because they're cold) THEN the animation teams sync the mouth animation (and other movements/beats) to the recording. It's better to give the VA room to explore the pace/timing of the delivery or to put longer emphases on words so they can give their best delivery possible. It should only be relegated to a different pace if it needs to be.

Going off that, that's how most web shows or quick release shows are done, but most shows overall do the recording once the script has been finalized and then, if a new scene is added, dialogue is changed or they need the delivery to be faster/slower and didn't realize it originally, they'll have another session where those are recorded. Basically, any scene is recorded before any real animation begins.

At least you're considering, so i'm guessin' theres a chance out there.
The reason it's 4 words only, is because i'm planning to do a variation of intros kind of in the same vein as this, but with audio cues and milder tone. I'd open to ad-libs and general fuckery as well.
I plan to swap the lines around for every new project/work, so they're mostly in the intro. While the voice line itself has nothing to do with the actual lewd content, i can still understand why people would be hesitant i suppose.
I figured i'd start small first before getting full on VAs for my works.
Thats a lot of insight. I'm guessing i should get acquainted with the VAs involved and understand what approach they're comfortable with before making a project. Might help everyone involved in the long run. Learning a lot from this. Hmm.
>I love that accent, i can't say if it sounds genuine or not, but it's very entertainingly natural to me. It was a mix of a German and French accent. Wanted a stern, yet flowing elocution. Good to know it didn't sound ridiculous.
anyone wanna give it a try. Can someone make in love noises (your best interpretation) of the last panel, just you know drooling and melting that kinda thing
