only if you cant separate speculation from canon, I think most of us are good. and I for one cant wait to meet her, she not being season 1 didnt bother me, gave Anne and Sasha enconter a sense of intimacy. Dont know if they could do that with the 3 of them at the same time but I wouldnt have liked if Marcy showed up and stayed unrelated to this events

The few clues we have suggest Maddie, Croaker, and Wally will be accompanying Anne and the Plantars. I'd really like that, they're three of the best townies, IMO, and they'd actually be useful out in the wild.

That definitely felt like something they dropped the ball with. I mean, the one thing they hinted about her personality (when he texted Sasha) is that she likes to commit crime too I guess.

I mean, fuck, during the school scene they could've at least had Sasha and Anne waving to her or saying "see you later" to her from a distance in between scenes or something instead of focusing for like 5 minutes on Maggie chimping out about a burrito.

Maggie did serve a narrative purpose though, to show that Sasha stands up for Anne which helps Sasha to be a more complex and grey character instead of just "mean blonde bitch."

Think there was some screenshot of production, and in the background you could see character models for Maddie, Croaker, and Wally, implying they’ll play some kind of major role in season 2. After all, they are pretty well developed characters, so it wouldn’t make sense to just throw them out.
Also, Maddie’s VA said she’s doing a big Maddie episode in season 2

One thing I think would be neat is like a background gag or something that shows numerous pop culture frogs throughout history, like Flip the frog or Slippy Toad. We’ve already seen Earthbound and Dreamcast references, so anything’s possible.
