We see Spear and Fang meet in the first, they’re together in Snakes but their relationship is still rocky. That kind of throughline is absolutely there.

That's the point, they even spent the first 5 minutes of the episode establishing what nice dinos they are. It gives the transformation more of an impact.

I'm sure many are just fine. Like the sauropods themselves, they were totally chill. They might have been wary of fang but probably wouldn't attack on sight. Even some carnivores might just steer clear unless direct confrontation over food happens
