Or how about instead of giving OP (You)s, you give it to this post instead.

Extremely was a rare sequel that was better than the first. Even weirder was that it was direct to video. The only other movies I can think of that sport that claim are Undisputed 2 and 3.

Extremely definitely had a better script. Jokes were actually funny and the interactions were more realistic.

Sure, I'll stick it to an OP that's (you) farming.

In general I thought it was a tighter movie, and somehow didn’t let the “extreme” aspect hurt the film. If anything, Goofy’s accident proneness making him a good skater is perfect.

I think the problem with this film is that it feels too mean spirited. There's nothing funny about Max being forced to go on a road trip and cancel his date. The possum park scene is a good example of the film failing to be funny because you feel sorry for Max.

This movie just feels rushed. It clocks at less than 70 minutes. Too short. It's constantly jumping from situation to situation without any breathing room ( possum park, Pete running into them, bigfoot, montage, motel scene, waterfall, etc ) It's just too much

Wasn't that the point? Not everything in the movie was supposed to be funny, plus it's from Max's perspective so it would make sense for the road trip to seem shitty

How many changes were there made to the Blu-Ray release compared to the DVD/Theatrical one?

True, but it laid the ground work for a MASTERPIECE

Attached: EGM.jpg (1920x1080, 179.65K)

True, but it also seems shitty to the audience. The writers made a mistake in making Roxanne too adorable and kind, plus showing how hard it was for Max to impress her. You feel sorry for him when all of his efforts are wasted because his father doesn't ask or care if he has any plans.

Agreed. A lot of this movie was focused on the struggles that come with growing up, but instead of just Max's perspective, we also get Goofy's. Even now, I'm kind of surprised at how tense it is. Though I feel that this makes the parts that are genuinely funny land better.

It still should've been longer. There's a nice story with some nuance here, but it needed more time to fully land imo. They could've easily removed some fluff like Bobby shalowing chedda or the Possum park scene to make room for the relevant stuff

Man, Pauly Shore's agent got him some good publicity.

Max was being shitty too by being a whiny kid and not just sitting down and explaining things to his dad. They were both wrong, his dad for more sad and understandable reasons.

Why was this?

I think when you get older, you start sympathizing for Goofy and Max. Goof is kind of a goofy father, he doesn't know what's "in" with the kids these days. He just wants to be a good father.

True, but he did tell Goofy that he had plans, only ommiting the date thing, yet his father just handwaves this. Goofy also had no excuse in not mentioning the whole principal call.

Goofy has honest, and goofily exaggerated, fears that his kid is going down some dark horrible path.

Max only told his dad he had plans. Goofing off with Pete would count as plans to a teen. He never told his dad he had more concrete plans of a hopefully romantic nature.

It actually took me until I was older to sympathise with Max. I couldn't really understand why he did what he did for Roxanne. But a dad fearing for his son, egged on by an idiot making wild claims, was pretty self-explanatory. At least, to me it was.

I mean yeah, it's a Disney movie past 1961.

Yeah, but Goofy literally started to pack before Max even got back from school. Didn't even bother to ask him beforehand. He was also an idiot in not pulling a 2 + 2 after Max stops by Roxanne to cancel the date

>Great Mouse Detective is mediocre
>Tarzan is mediocre
My friend you and I have a problem.

I once made my dad, who is not into animation, watch this film and Shark Tale. He said the latter film was better, and you know what ? He's right

Holy cow! Call me a Hindu! A totally original opinion about Dinsey movies!? What's next? You're gonna tell me that they're products are awful because of the cooperate empires suffocating grasp on the media? Or how the totally not commercialized "representation" is awful and not manufactured controversy to grab attention to the product. As you support another multibillion dollar company that owns 10% of the media being produced rather than 60%. Because you my smart, intelligent, and different, totally mentally sound friend are unique.

This movie could've been better if it had a better script. It's easily one of Disney's weakest scripts from their 90's output. It just doesn't come alive, so to speak. I also wasn't a fan of Carter Burwell's background music

I'll give you Great Mouse Detective but Tarzan is way below mediocre.

That's a pretty big ad hominem you've got going there. No, I'm not one of those insane Star Wars autists who found out capitalism exists in 2015. Now take your meds.

...................what?

are you for real or are you try to shitpost mr enter?

This. It had a better father-son dynamic too. The first movie made me hate Goofy for being a pretentious asshole.

It's funny for the adult audience, but for the teen audience (who would take Max's side since he's the real protogonist) it was a really embarrasing shitty roadtrip for him.

The dream moment and the ending with Livewire was the only good thing about the film that everyone remembers.

You put a picture of the first one when it should have been the second one!
The first one is one of the best modern day Disney movies ever made!
The SEQUIL was meh!

kys

Why didn't she ever make another appearance?

There's so many OOC shit with Extreme, though. Even with all the "time has passed for these characters".

That roller coaster pic along with the other ones confirmed the connection with this movies and the series, right?

Fun fact. Originally at the end of the movie, Goofy was going to comically tell Max that “he’s going to have a little brother”, confirming to him and the audience that he and the librarian fucked, naturally they decided to dial it back a bit and just have her be his girlfriend by the end, not even confirming if they were even gonna get married.

Goofy is a good Christian man who would never engage in sex outside of marriage.

Goofy FUCKS and you know it

The extreme sports plot is shit and nerfs the midlife crisis plot for Goofy.

Max came off as a spoiled brat here. I know he's a teen but Jesus. He comes off more likable in other Disney stuff though.

The extreme sports plot reeked of 90s but Goofy's arc was pretty well done and I actually liked his love interest a lot.

Plus the villain was really fun due to how hammy he was.

Source? Sounds interesting

People here seem to remember this because of the single furry waifu, but GT was one of the weakest Disney Afternoon shows, the Disney Afternoon mostly wasn't great anyway (except for maybe Gargoyles), and A Goofy Movie didn't even have some of the good characters or other things GT had, Without that, the animation was good especially today where 2D for Western animation is worse than utterly most, but it was never a good movie.

Mean lost not most, but same idea.

The point of the movie isn't Roxanne, it's the father-son relationships you absolute pleb

The only issue I have with Goofy Movie is it feels like there's a scene missing between the waterfall and arriving at the Powerline concert.

>There's people ITT who believe that Extremely Goofy Movie is better than the first
Extremely isn't bad, but it's pretty much a rehash. AGM is far superior even if it was shorter

One of the only good animated dance sequences ever.

Yeah but Beret Girl and Sylvia are ten times more fuckable than Roxanne. She's the real waifu

I think it’s a good movie, but it doesn’t deserve to be called an “underrated classic”.
A Goofy Movie gets fucktons of references, merchandise, and mainstream recognition. I don’t know why anyone thinks it’s a “hidden gem” anymore. It’s a movie literally everyone knows about and enjoys these days, how can it be UNDERrated? Something like Great Mouse Detective is far more deserving of that title.

No the bat is too spooky

It was a nice sequel, but you're crazy if you think it was a better movie.
The father/son stuff was so well done in the first film
