Has a few good jokes but that's it. Its legit like everyone says. Its not horrible, its just okay and nothing really wow worthy.

I thought it was really sweet. The character animation was nice and expressive, too. Good movie overall, and every thing tied together in the end (including Laurel's Zumba workout and Colt's entire role).

Not spicy at all. Up is mostly remembered for its first 10 minutes which I also think are really great, after that it turns into an extremely generic film with barely anything interesting to put on the table.

Pretty much. Most of the people posting haven't seen the full movie, and are just parroting shit they've heard some youtuber say.

No since I didn't find myself enjoying the scenery more than the plot to the point like The Good Dinosaur. There was more than one point in that film where there would be a sweeping shot of the forests and hills before returning to Arlo and I was annoyed by the movie cutting back to him.

Up is a weird movie since they clearly felt obligated to make Muntz a villain and then to kill him off even when there really wasn't a need for that.

They could easily have made Muntz obsessed but then ended that by having him discover the adventure journal and remembering what his life used to be about.

yeah forced callbacks are Pixar's shtick. Its one of their "rules" for writing a good story, include some callbacks so the audience thinks they're watching something smart. they start writing their stories with gimmicks like that and then work backwards.
everyone knows this has been true for at least the last 5 pixar flops.
