I think I'm gonna go black and white for my next comic since its so long. With some colored pages there and there.
A Story of Fire returns next weekend starting the first part of the finale: tapas.io/episode/1272284 Catch up now, or uh, or nothing, just give it a try if you feel like it. I am not speaking to anyone in particular
>Also what do you guys think about pure black shadows? Pure black shadows is my fetish, good work. I tend to always use pure black myself when shading.
>Colors or B/W for your comics ? Depends on the comic i'm working on.
Ayden Lewis
Hi, how are you doing? Long time no see. My comic is on hold but I've remember I had one edited page which I was going to post with another one I haven't made in january. So yeah, I'm really sorry, all this school stuff going on right now... the whole quarantine situation doesn't really benefit me much. Oh yeah, and I'm not going to resume it now. I think I'll do it in may when all school stuff is ofitially over...
>tfw not shy about my political beliefs, but people tend to whine about art being expressive of author beliefs >tfw traditional "American dream rags to riches" capitalist, but the very concept of capitalism has been corrupted possibly beyond repair So like, is it even possible to market a heroes for hire story in this day and age? It was already kind of a hard sell, but now? Yikes. Wat do?

Okay maybe she's alright
Jace Carter
Oh, and, damn, I forgot how it went. Please, check the Engish, please!
Julian Brown
They can really make things look stark and... robust.
Carson Hughes
A) you aren't what you think you are B) I love that kind of comic, but not written by you. 1) Good point though, people need to stop thinking everything is a soapbox.
Cameron Ortiz
Dare I even ask what stick is up your ass?
Jace Sullivan
No mistakes!
Xavier Carter
Complain about it after you make the comic and people actually complain about it. Having these invisible future enemies in your head is completely pointless and a waste of time.
Xavier Butler
What do you mean user? Chloe indeed is an alright girl.
Jack Johnson
For Gary Astron, Galactic Gourmand I’m going grayscale with just a liiiiittle color for emphasis. I like how it’s looking so far!
I didn't get to answer your old post where you asked "what makes my comic insufferable". It's your basic surface level pandering to """Yas Forums culture""" with the combination of really bad drawings. You come off as someone who really really wants to fit in and make a character everyone wants to jerk off to or some shit. Your biggest fan is yourself and you're so in love with your own creation that you feel the need to spam your shit everywhere. This is your Sonichu except with unfunny Yas Forums memes. I'd suggest working on your drawings, be confident with your lines, and don't rely so hard on internet jokes for brownie points.
Thanks for responding to my question in the other thread bro, appreciate that I do need to practice drawing and that's why I will keep making these. I do love my creation and I AM my biggest fan indeed. I find this a good attitude to have. Thanks again user, have a good day!
Jack Diaz
>Q: Colors or B/W for your comics ? colours, but i'm going to be having some monochrome and black/white pages for certain trippy scenes

so much scifi has stark, bland backgrounds, it's neat that in this future the people are the plain white things. kinda tells you where they stand.
Hudson Rodriguez
they change anyway. I love this beanie-baby-ass pattern, how do you even do it?
Juan Bell
Thank you! I paint some pastels on her and then go over it with a spray paint brush.
Ah, that’s just what I was going for! Space and its inhabitants are so magnificent and whatever. How can we humans compare?
Jace Hernandez
twitch.tv/admiral_pizza101 Alright guys, i am going to create some HYWC characters and you are welcome to suggest some crazy stuff!!!
Elijah Long
>why yes, I do indeed love what I make and am my own biggest fan, does it show?
Chapter finale hopefully finished by next weekend. Its about 15 pages and im still storyboarding it. Hopefully i can get it done, since ill be working from home. New Kaiju Kompendium profile tomorrow New CyKEA Combiner profile eventually New Fastrack Fury content never.
Your backgrounds are perfectly fine. i cant draw a background to save my life. You are more than ready. Post links to your stuff if you have any. Or just dump some stuff.
Thanks for the feedback! I hate drawing backgrounds more than anything >Post links to your stuff if you have any. twitter.com/BlitzMint That's my Twitter will post a couple more characters later

give me OCs oh yeah i recognize your stuff now. I think you posted it a while back. You draw cute girls and i like that. You have a great sense of style.
I'm not that good either but I'm still doing my comic because it's fun. We'll get better at art as we go just take criticism so every page is a little better
I thought people couldn't see it if I erased part of it. 21 days prior, I made an april fools day comic where I clearly erased the date and changed it to 3/31, forgetting March had a 31st.
>4/21/03 It’s kind of amazing how long your comic has gone on in one incarnation or another. You probably amassed a fairly solid reader base over the years, I mean you must have, right?
Aiden Anderson
I.. I have considered coloring it, but changing anything feels like sacrilege. Or you just mean the gag about lighting cow farts leading to napalm dung shenanigans needs remaking? because that arranged can be
Julian Adams
Haha, well.. Um... solidly dedicated, at least! I still get people emailing me about it once in a while. I'm glad to know when I start up the third version, I'll have people eagerly awaiting it AND you guys to bounce ideas off of. Gonna be a lot less haphazard, slipshod, and janky this time. also something I realized while rereading is that the original comic was 4 panels every day (sometimes twice a day) for 999 days in a row, and the next one was 8-12ish panels every 3 days... and it always felt like NOT ENOUGH, but now I feel like that's more than enough, and it'd be okay to slow it down a little and work more on quality. 8-12 panels a week is probably fine.
A bit of both, somewhat. Promo images are full color, but the comic itself is in monochrome. However, I have specific elements colored (mostly the eyes) for emphasis, kinda like in Sin City. I also I tint the monochrome with a single color that changes gradually as the comic goes on.
I’d say it’s a fair compromise and it helps keeping the comic getting weekly updates (would be impossible it was fully colored).
>it'd be okay to slow it down a little and work more on quality. Oh man, an ongoing comic with the quality of art like what you’ve been putting on deviantart etc would be sweet.
Angel Reyes
I try a new brush every new chapter. This one I'll use for sketching now, but I think I'll keep using sanji for lining.
Have Skardtril attempting to smile and Namini commenting.
How can you hate on my perfect tree, next time I'll hear you laughing about my wonderful chapter 3 retarded horse.
